   Lovely pub, good selection of real ales, the lad and lady behind the bar were very welcoming and friendly, let down a little by the food but what put a downer on the day was the absurd language coming from the open kitchen area, swearing and banging! With kids in the building! I will be back but maybe with my headphones next time.

   Great pub, good beers (cask, craft keg, lager etc). Staff were absolutely brilliant! Friendly, fast and welcoming. Food was delicious and super fresh. Thanks for a lovely time!

   Really liked this pub, didn't eat here on this occasion as I was just meeting friends before the football. Friendly staff a good beer selection and from what I saw good food too. Very likely to pop back again!

   Was our first time in the pub for food.. Have drank in there a few times. Nice selection of beers on offer. It was a date night so thought we would eat there before moving on. My steak was lovely, sadly Hubby's mix grill didn't cut muster. He was offered a refund, but declined as we had both eaten the food. Hate not leaving a sparkling review, but sadly our experience on the food side wasn't great.

   A friend of mine recently had a going away party in the Pen and Wig. The party was in the large upstairs room. There is a good size dance floor surrounded by plenty of seating. There is also an upstairs bar so everything is in one location. I haven’t been here before (sorry!) but I’d have no hesitation in coming back. Staff are friendly and quick behind the bar so would definitely recommend.

   My little boy and I popped in today on the off chance of a dinner and sooo glad we did!!! Those roasties were lush..well, the whole dinner was..couldn't leave in fact, so they even give us a take out box for later.. and the dog if he's lucky!!! Always lovely staff,great value for money never disappoint 2 dinners 2 drinks just over£20..can't go wrong

   We had to wait over an hour for 2 fish and chips and it was crenated when it came. My husband ordered scampi after and came exactly the same.

   Nice little pub to have a roast. Staff are friendly (I always say this, but they were friendly) reasonable prices and a good selection of drinks. Will visit here again when I get a chance.
