   Me and my family had a lovely visit to the newly refurbished Captains Wife! The food, service and ambiance was all perfect! I would definitely recommend! The roast potatoes were beautifully cooked, I went for the trio and all the meat was so succulent and tasteful! We will definitely be back! Leanne served us and she made us feel so comfortable and made a great fuss of our young daughters! Well done Sam and team we are very impressed and will definitely be back soon! Thank you again!

   A revamped menu and refurbished pub. Food is good if on the pricey side with highlights being the beef shin and pizza. Service is good but not brilliant... For the prices I'd expect better. Just needs a few tweaks to bring it all together for an excellent gastro-pub experience. Starters - Chicken liver pate - very good. Perhaps too generous on the bread. Crab cake - delicious. Tandoori chicken skewers - very good. Calamari - generous and tasty. Worth a visit, we will come again... Mains - Beef shin - brilliant. Chicken burger -done well, though the pickles in the side were weird. Fish and chips - generous and tasty, mooshy peas a bit tasteless. Korean Beef Pizza - very good. Desserts - Eton Nest - reconstructed pavlova? Was good, but dwarfed my son's very tasty but small fondant. Trio mini desserts - very good. Suggest to present on a board... Tart tatin - very good.

   Waited for 1.5 hour for my fish and chips which was average at best. They got me sweet chilly when I asked for tobacco or any spicy alternative.. after asking a few more times got some fresh chillies My both friends had a roast dinner which was absolutely dry and barely any gravy on it, one came with starters and another one hour later. No one would be apologetic or friendly. Food is not worth it, I would definitely give it a miss, there are many far more better places in the area

   Had a fantastic meal at The Captain’s Wife in Cardiff! The food was delicious, the seaside views were stunning, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. A special shoutout to our waitress Leanne, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. She truly made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

   The Captains Wife is a beautiful quant restaurant, variety of excellent gourmet delights .of which FISHFINGER SANDWICH was one I have never seen this item before on a menu .But this is Wales .Our food was served by very pleasant and helpful staff.A delightful dining experience.    We stopped in here to warm up during the rain, the food and drinks were wonderful. We chose an appetizer of scallops and shrimp and for a main course chicken and pancetta pie. The food was more than enough for two people and we enjoyed every last bite of it. We also ordered some drinks, the mocha was so good I ordered 2! We actually came back after a few hours for more drinks and another appetizer of Camembert and marmalade and we devoured it, it was that good!

   This is a lovely place overlooking the coast in Swanbridge Sully. Had a lovely meal there, the staff were really friendly and welcoming and they even had a doggy treat station!!! Will definitely return.
