   Took my car here for it's MOT, as a female, I'm always sceptical garage's are out to make a few pounds as, personally, I'm none the wiser when it comes to cars. To my surprise, it passed! The guys here were super helpful, fast, reassuring when I was panicking about the cost of it potentially failing and had my car back within a couple of hours. Would highly recommend.

   My first time ever writing a review and it's a real shame it's a bad one! I work with cars for a living and do the majority of work myself, in fact I only went here because my MOT was due on the Monday and had some unfortunate news on the weekend. I know the going rate for standard jobs such as discs & pads and agreed a price with one of the mechanics before anything was carried out. I then get a call at work saying the wheel bearing was shot to pieces and they had already carried out the work to the tune of £130, what are my options? Weirdly enough I've driven 5k miles in the past 3 months and the car has been through a thorough inspection in September and an MOT 3 days before, trust me when I saw you know when a wheel bearing has gone and mine was fine. What usually happens is they struggle to get the discs off the car, bash it out and damage the wheel hub at the same time! Not accusing them of doing it on purpose, but it shouldn't be me footing the bill! Not only did this happen but they refused to carry out the other portion of work that was agreed upon, why? Because they believe that changing the discs and pads (literally one of the most common, basic and repeatable job a mechanic does) takes 4 hours to complete. Complete joke as I've seen apprentices do it in under 2 hours including a tea break! Fair enough the people seemed nice enough and after some demonstrating agreed to the first initial price, but carrying out work that was there fault to begin with and without my permission is just completely unprofessional. Makes you wonder how many others this has happened too!
