Steer Group Coventry – Worst Experience Ever! If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Steer Group Coventry has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The communication was terrible, the delays were ridiculous, and the quality of the work was shocking. When I finally got my car back, it looked like it had been painted by amateurs. There were swirl marks, dust and nibs trapped under the lacquer, ripples and uneven panels, and even paint reactions on the bonnet. Overspray and poor masking inside the door shuts showed a complete lack of care or attention to detail. I paid an extra £275 for additional work, but the front bumper was still left in a shocking condition and now needs to be fully repainted. When I complained, I was told to bring the car back — but they left me without a courtesy car for an entire week. The second repair attempt was just as bad, and the management were rude, defensive, and dismissive when I raised my concerns. An independent inspection has since confirmed that the work carried out was well below acceptable professional standards. I’ve now had to take the car elsewhere to put things right at my own expense. Honestly, avoid Steer Group Coventry at all costs. The workmanship is appalling, the customer service is disgraceful, and the overall experience has been nothing but stress and disappointment. **Update 26/10/25: i still haven’t had a response from steer group. Please see picture attached, this is a report from an independent engineer who has confirmed the poor workmanship carried out on my vehicle.
Fantastic service, friendly professional staff. Work completed promptly, high quality work no sign of damage seen. My car was returned washed and cleaned. Highly recommend this company. Thank you to all the team.
Everybody was dedicated to producing the best result possible. After using my repaired car for a couple of weeks I can say that my car looks and runs like new, and it had been badly damaged. I was kept up to date continuously and supplied with a very nice courtesy car. Everybody was very helpful and understanding.

Fantastic service from start to finish. As soon as I was informed my vehicle was heading to Steer the process was seamless. Informed me at every stage as to what was happening via email and text. Also turned it around within 3 days. Super happy with the results, can’t recommend them highly enough, the car looked like it was just out of the showroom. Steer group were appointed by my insurer to carry out damage repairs. They were quick to get in contact and explain the process. The vehicle was collected exactly when they promised and a courtesy car provided. The repairs were finished slightly quicker than expected and the work was excellent and the car delivered back clean and good as new. I would highly recommend. Thanks guys
