Excellent service today, as my son got knocked into and damaged a tooth. I rang The Avenue and Teresa very kindly arranged an emergency appointment and we were seen in the hour by the wonderful dentist and team (sorry forgot your names). Very thorough and professional, really appreciated the appointment, thank you.

Well it looks like I've had the same problem as the other people who have left reviews. I had a txt message to cancel my appointment as I'd missed the previous one. I called them to advise I had cancelled the appointment. A very rude response basically saying I was lying. Myself and the children have been going for 20 years and never missed an appointment. They are clearly looking to get rid of NHS patients and concentrating on private patients. If I am unable to find another NHS dentist I will use RD Dental in Countesthorpe as they have been highly recommended by a lot of my colleagues at work. I certainly wouldn't be giving The Avenue any of my money. AVOID AVOID AVOID

if i could give 0 stars i would. I had missed an appointment i didn’t even know i had due to 0 confirmation messages or emails. Because of this I was then unregistered from the practice without knowledge until i rang them up myself. Asked to speak to the manager practitioner just to be told he doesn’t and wont be talking to anyone. The only thing i could do is send a letter. Disappointing and the lack of action on something i had no control over is appalling

Ismail Suliman Bhyat lacks empathy and any kind of moral personality. He displays a lack of understanding and promotes an attitude related to profiteering in his approach to patient care. He clearly has no loyalty to long term patients and strikes them off for missing a single appointment. He is not interested in any reasons why. When I joined the practice the reviews were 5 stars, I am not surprised that the current rating is 2 and a half.

Took my daughter, in and out in 30 seconds, no discussion about her teeth, information or details about issues or what has been done - feels like the Dentist just wants the easy cases, in & out as quickly as possible. Lack of patient care and empathy. Receptionist are great, shame about the actual dentists themselves. I understand there is a lack of funding for dentistry, but the lack of care and empathy is shocking.

Since 2020 the service received by this practice has been awful. Reception staff need training on data protection laws and what they actually mean and also how NOT to rip patients off. It is very clear that under the NHS banner they will try to gain as much money out of you as a patient as they can. It is a disgrace of a dental practice with staff who do not have patient care at the forefront of their minds. For someone who has been using this practice for over 15 years I think I have a fair bit of experience to back up my 1 star up. The practice is clearly focused on making as much money as possible and they do not care how they do this. I have since joined another practice privately and for someone who goes to the dentist regularly was told I needed 3 fillings - something else this practice failed to see. I would avoid at all costs going to this dentist as a NHS or private patient

I used to come here for a few years right from childhood it was never a great dentist from the start. The staff were absolutely horrible every single time to the point where it made me cry. I understand they have to be strict, but they were really passive-aggressive and rude, and it made me insecure. When I was a kid, I used to beg my mum to book me in somewhere else as i was genuinely frightened of the dentists here. Every time i used to walk past this dentist as a kid, i felt sick. And it wasn't just with me, My family members also had a bad experience with the staff at this dentist. Now, years in the future, I'm still too scared to come back because of the staff and the experience that i had when i was a little. If your teeth are slightly out of the standard or crooked, then don't come here unless you're made of stone. It's especially not the kind of dentist you should be bringing children to, let alone adults! It's definitely an experience I'll never forget for all the wrong reasons.

I have just been informed that the practice as taken me off their books because I have not been for 3 years. Main reason I didn't attend, I am a disabled vulnerable person who was trying to protect myself as advised by the government. This practice does not deserve any patients. Now I'm finding it impossible to find another dentist.

I was shocked at the reviews for this dentist. I’m a very nervous patient and I’ve been using them for over 25 years with no complaints. They’ve always been excellent with me.

My dentist is wonderful here. I have developed a real fear of dentists over the years and often faint after having treatment but Sunil is amazing. He is conscious of my anxiety and always knows the right thing to say to keep me calm. Recent visit during lockdown from a cracked tooth was fixed promptly and very happy with the results. Couldn’t recommend more highly
