   Bought 3 garage shelving units from this store. Unfortunately, they have not held up well in a garage environment. As soon as the winter comes , the boards developed mould. I visited the store to ask about this and was told the garage was too cold and damp, and that there was nothing they could do other than advise cleaning the boards. I was disappointed, as I expected shelving sold for garages to be suitable for typical garage conditions.

   Excellent purchase to fitting experience. My tech was fitted by Thomas who was polite and very knowledgeable. My car was so tidy afterwards and I hardly notice the wires which are hidden away discreetly.

   The manager (guy with the comb over) was rude and unhelpful over an issue with a gift card and special order. Repeatedly asking me “are you sure there’s money on the card” is not useful. I don’t expect to be dismissed and passed onto central customer service in relation to a gift card purchased from the actual store. Not my first poor experience at this branch. I won’t be back.

   An absolutely appalling experience with the manager of the Barry Dock store this morning. Click and collect item was the wrong item provided to me at store. Was told that they often get stolen which didn't explain why the item was the wrong one allocated to my order. Clearly he picked the wrong one without checking before sending conformation email to pick up. No apology for a wasted journey and zero customer care. Abrupt and rude infront of other customers. Another store assistant offered to help and within a minute I had the right item and an apology for the delay. A perfect customer interaction. Maybe the manager could learn from him! So after commending the young chap I asked for the managers name to which he refused several times and I was told that now i had my item that I should "pop off" I mean you've got to laugh right? Sheeesh! Again I asked to complain to a manager and at this point it was then he said "he was the manager" to which he refused to give me his name. Halfords, demote him and give the young lad a chance as atleast he knows how to treat customers. Unbelievable!!!!

   Thank you to the two men that were working today 30/7/25, didn’t catch their names, one has blondish hair and the other dark brown. They were so helpful in letting me know how to fill my coolant up and also remove some (I overfilled). Got me the correct coolant and syphon for my car specifically.

   I have just been to this Halfords for new number plates, provided all the relevant documents, then was told that they can't make up European plates, one reason given was the number was to long, my registration consist of 4 numbers,gap, 3 letters, exactly the same as UK number plates, with the added E to show it was a Spanish registration. In today's world l would expect that Halfords start to modernise themselves.

   We visited this store today to buy a headlamp bulb for my wife's car and wiper blades for mine. We were advised and dealt with by three separate people and the level of service and friendly professionalism was outstanding. It has been a long time since I have received such a great level of service from any establishment in the UK. The three men are an assert to your business and Halfords should be proud to have them in their employ.

   On a wet Saturday afternoon, I used click and collect for a replacement car battery. The two members of staff who dealt with me were courteous, knowledgeable and attentive. They offered me additional services: the option to fit the battery (which I didn’t need this time) and a paper receipt with a warranty (so I had peace of mind in the unlikely event of issues). The staff were a credit to the company. Happy to recommend this branch.

   Paid for brake fix front and back, picked up two weeks later assured they were both fixed, back one still didn't work problem with bleeding and pistons which I realised straight after leaving the store, front one was replaced back one was half done. I brought it back and was advised that they need wearing in, still not working after two days so I returned again, staff were quick and helpful when returning, issuing a refund for the faulty brake/repair and happy to book me in for another repair and full brake replacement. Fingers crossed it works this time otherwise I will go elsewhere for my bike services. They are usually quick to sort problems staff friendly and helpful, always willing to help even in a very busy store, and a good returns policy which you need when occasionally parts/repairs are not working as expected.
