Diagnosed my alternator problem quickly excellent communication, mechanic took time to explain everything to me and even took me on a drive in my car to help identify a problem - will definitely be using Cars On Gas in the future for any car needs.

The electric window regulator broke in my car at the beginning of March during a long spell of wet weather. It’s not the sort of job you can do in the open so I booked it in here based on past experience. They did not fit the correct regulator for my car so the door glass wasn’t fully secured and they used the wrong size of screws to attach it to the door panel. The result was that on 17th May the regulator fell off and the door glass nose dived into the door cavity. Since it was a nice sunny day I attempted the repair myself and this was when I discovered that the regulator had been attached with screws that were too small. I replaced them with suitable screws but after two hours of trying to locate the door glass properly I came to the conclusion that there was a problem with the regulator as I couldn’t get the window to close fully. I contacted another local garage who called me mid repair to ask where the window regulator had been sourced as it was not for my car! They then had to order the correct one from Ford and a visual comparison confirmed the wrong regulator had indeed been fitted. Needless to say I won’t be using this garage again!

I selfishly want to keep these gems a secret but they deserve all the praise they can get. Bought a first car two weeks ago and had an engine light warning, was really concerned it would end up costing a fortune as its an older car however these guys sorted me out so quickly and were so decent. Couldn't recommend them enough!
Only recently starting using this garage after several bad experiences at several other garages. They were recommended to me by a few friends. And obviously for good reason, they are very helpful, honest and efficient. Prices are very reasonable and its clear that they actually take pride in what they do. Its also obvious they'll go the extra mile. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will continue to use their services :) Work carried out: alternator noise, exhaust needing welding. Full service and inspection , issue with lights.
