   Sold my diesel car to a family member. They didn't take the car out often enough at higher speed so the dpf light came on. A1 garage quoted £600-800 to repair... Instead of the £60 it just cost to get cleaned which I just did & it's fine again! I had the car 4 years before selling it & never had that light come on so I knew it just needed cleaning. #dodgydealer

   I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received. I originally took my ECU in to be remapped for £150. After dropping it off, I was told they couldn’t remap it and would need to replace it entirely at a cost of £350. I agreed, based on their advice, and was told it would take up to 14 days to import a new unit. 21 days later — including a week-long holiday closure I wasn’t informed about — I returned to collect my ECU unit, only to discover that my original ECU had been remapped after all. When I asked about this, I was told it had been remapped. Yet, I was still charged the full £350, despite being told the higher cost was for a replacement ECU. When I questioned the price difference, I was given no clear justification. In the end, I paid more than double the original quote for a service that should’ve only cost £150 — for a job I was originally told couldn’t be done. This experience felt misleading and unprofessional, and I wouldn’t recommend this company based on how poorly this was handled.

   Was recommended A1 auto and they didn't disappoint! Had taken car in to have aircon fixed. Left the car for the day but A1 had fixed it and called me within a couple of hours to say it was done. It was incredibly reasonable fair pricing as they had looked at it straight away. The service was really friendly and polite too. Thank you A1 Auto!!

   Genuinely Helpful and Honest A1 Auto Tuning were a breath of fresh air — they did a full diagnostic, clearly explained the root cause, and advised that I didn’t need an expensive part another garage had quoted over £1,000 for. They didn’t even charge me for the diagnostic. Friendly, knowledgeable, and totally honest — I’ll definitely be going back in future!

   Took my car there a few month ago. Just had to take my car back to another garage and turns out the engine wasn’t even bolted on. None of the bolts had been put back on. This could have resulted in my whole family being killed due to the engine not being fitted properly. Absolutely poor service after having my car for over a week as well and didn’t do the proper checks. Don’t ever take your cars to this garage unless you want the risk of being killed. Absolutely furious.

   Took my car there, told me it was the turbo that needed to be changed. Changed the turbo took over a week, was told it would only take 2 days. Had no contact from them. Had to ring them every time. Had my car back and the same lights came back on my car. Took it back was told it was the mass senser, went down to collect my car and was then told it was something to do with the exhaust. Spent over a £1000 with these guys and my car is still not fixed. Would definitely not recommend as they took the mick to sort my car. Absolutely shocking service and communication.
