    Absolutely brilliant shop, never stuck for odd D-i-Y items that you would not get, or would pay a fortune for at a big multiple. Often you can get one or two of something instead of having to buy a multi-pack. Owners are very helpful & cheerful too. Very reasonable prices.

    LD Smith's never let you down with a solution for those problem little jobs. The ship is like an Aladdin's cave of DIY goodies and the staff are always on hand to offer help and advice. A real positive is that you can buy most items as singles pieces, unlike the large DIY stores who insist that you but hundreds of the things when you only want a couple. Make LD Smith's your first port of call for your DIY needs. Update 18/08/2022 Still as brilliant as ever and do much better than the big superstore DIY chains. Friendly service with a smile. NB take cash with you their card machine can be a little bit temperamental!

    The website said they were going to be open until 3.00pm on 30th December but when I arrived all the shutters were locked shut. Never got to see the shop. If there's a website saying they are open then its a reasonable assumption to accept what's there on the site is correct. You wouldn't ring to make sure their website is correct.
