    I attended a free legal advice clinic in January this year and the advice was that I was highly likely to win my case against a difficult Customer of mine. However, this turned out to be completely incorrect and costly for me following my recent hearing in the County Court. I had outlined all the facts of my case very thoroughly to the Solicitor I saw at Thatcham & Hallam and used them to put before the County Court but it didn’t get me anywhere. Rather than say I was highly likely to win my case I would have preferred a more accurate and realistic legal opinion of the pitfalls of me going ahead with County Court action to avoid the unnecessary expense of me trying to recover an unpaid invoice.

    We're the buyers solicitor for my house sale. They were extremely slow in every aspect. Took 2-3 weeks to reply to any of my solicitors emails. Only looked at the fixtures and fittings form and questioned it (they received 2 months prior) just as we were pressing to complete. Claimed to have not had responses from my solicitors, despite seeing email evidence they received them the same day. If you want your house move to drag on and on, I filully recommend these solicitors.

    Thatcher and Hallam were so great for our first time purchase. We had difficult sellers, a strange lease, problems with the address with the bank.. you name it, but T&H took us through, nice and calm (and set the other side straight!!).     Claire Dagger (the conveyancing Queen) is without a doubt the best woman for the job! I felt like I was her only client, that's how quickly Claire would reply and plough through the all the legal checks. A house sale which should have taken 16 weeks was done in 6, all thanks to the amazing Claire... the set price for her services is also very reassuring because you know there are no hidden costs, it's just one fee from beginning to end. Thank you for taking so much time to explain things and make something as daunting as buying a house not so scary after all! I will only ever use Thatcher and Hallam and Claire's services in future
