I can highly recommend Devon Place Dental Practice. I have received excellent care and a fabulous result from my recent implant. I am very grateful to Dr Gordon and his team for the meticulous and caring treatment. I had complete confidence in the process as everything was clearly explained and appointments scheduled to my needs. Fantastic dentist practice. (Was sent there via 111 for an emergency dental appointment). The staff and the environment was lovely, and the dental nurse and dentist were absolutely fantastic. They were very professional and had to give me antibiotics before they could extract the tooth. They both explained everything and lots of advice. Very empathetic as they could clearly see that I was in pain. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was sent here as an emergency appointment from the NHS dentist line. A tooth had broken in a couple of places and exposed the nerve. I explained I'm used to a high level of pain tolerance due to medical conditions but this was more than I could take. I wanted the tooth out, he said it would be tricky and a different course of action was just as suitable and leave me pain free until I could be referred. He lied. That evening I was in the worst pain of my life. Had I know it would be worse I never would have had the treatment. He eventually removed the tooth, which took some doing. I now have bone shards hanging out of the gum socket, and where he slipped multiple times trying to remove the tooth, he has broken a tooth on the bottom and I'm back in pain exactly like the beginning of the week. Had I been a paying client and not NHS he'd have done it the first time. Shouldn't we all be given equal care. He had no compassion or empathy. I will not be going back there even in an emergency and will try and wait to go elsewhere or at the very least see someone different.

Emergency treatment from Dr.Dorell. Got rid of my infection and fitted a temporary filling, providing me with antibiotics. Polite, helpful reception Treatment was professional, swift (if you allow it to be) and with care. Unfortunately, it's just private. Only emergency NHS for pain relief. If you are not their patient and get booked in there for an emergency appointment they basically do nothing for you. When you phone the Aneurin Bevan Health Board Dental Helpline ask them not to book you into this dentist, you will receive no care or service there. My 85 year old mother was sent there because she needed a tooth taken out and the side of her face was swollen. The "dentist" who checked her mouth for about 5 seconds just prescribed her some antibiotics and get this , told her to go see a dentist. Unreal. She was still in pain a week later and I phoned the emergency helpline and ask for them to send her to any dentist except this one. She was sent to a lovely dentist on Malpas road who treated her with care and they took her tooth out and prescribed more anti biotics to take the face swelling down, can't thank them enough. That is how a real professional dentist acts. Devon Place Dental Practice do not act like that, they just kick people out the door as fast as they can and get your money. Anyway, you have been warned, book to go somewhere else.
Really friendly and nice dentist. I see Dr Gordon and have been happy his skill and communication. Really impressed with the follow up- have had issues with the bridge but they've been really accommodating with squeezing me in and providing an excellent service to resolve the issues at no extra cost. Very pleased.
Lovely dental practice. Im quite a nervous patient but Rachel has been great at settling any nerves before and after any procedure. The team are helpful and informative too. Highly recommend!
I came to the dentist this morning (first appointment there) and they were absolutely lovely! The staff were so friendly and reassuring. My dentist Jon Frankel was absolutely lovely - made me feel at ease straight away, felt like he actually cared and took the time to explain things to me and get to know me, so happy to be going to this dentist instead!
