Very convenient location, with fairly decent selection of products. Used this store 40+ years since being a child. It's just not the same now. It used to have great staff, now not so much. Security guards are either OTT watching you like hawks, or sat outside having a cig. It's also really annoying, when you want to use the lottery/cigs kiosk & you have to wait in a long line behind ppl with full baskets of shopping, who don't even want lottery/cigs. When there's self-service tills behind you empty. Take note Tesco ppl, like to interact with humans not machines.

Very handy shop in the centre of town, many items inside are as cheap as they are in the supermarket and they regularly run promotions on products. Can get busy at the checkouts but that just proves how popular it is.
Friendly staff, but the world's worst queueing system for self-service checkouts. Whoever designed the store layout had clearly lost their mind - 4 self-service checkouts are mindlessly sprawled either side of a column/wall, meaning that you often get 3 queues forming. People with some sort of regard for traditional queueing will stand down the middle, keeping a hawk-eyed watch on both sides of the checkouts, waiting for the next one to come free. However, this technique is frequently usurped by vultures who will swoop in from the sides and steal the checkout before you've had the chance to walk to it. One solution would be to promptly ban these people for life, confiscating their shopping and hanging their 'Bag For Life' from a spike outside the store as a clear warning to all who are tempted to queue jump. A more reasoned approach would be to rip up the layout and start again.
One of the longest open skops here - it closes at 7 p.m. A lot of food, good choice of the most popular products. Prices OK, friendly stuff etc. In addition there are some toys or kitchen equipment available. Usually not that crowded.
