We had a very positive experience with Charlotte and her colleague Jess when buying our new house. Everything was very clear, efficient and stress free. Both were very communicative when I had questions or asked for an update on the process or stage of purchase. Having Jess support Charlotte for administrative matters meant we were able to get responses to our emails which busy solicitors would take longer to reply to. Very happy to recommend them to others for conveyancing and would absolutely use them again myself.

If I could give zero stars I would. An absolute clown show of a company. My mother passed away 5 years ago and I am still dealing with issues over her estate that were not dealt with. Terrible at responding to emails and awful at taking ownership of a situation. Go anywhere else.

I originally went to Judith to arrange a Will and Power of Attorney. I had no depth advice but i was having a major op and needed it done quickly. She also arranged Lasting Power of Attorney. I was never pleased with the service particularly the phone answering as highlighted on a previous review and no facility to leave messages. I paid £698 for a cheap looking piece of paper and one sheet of paper with my Power of Attorney case no. I need to change my daughters marital status, her address and mine plus i need to remove one Power of Attorney. I contacted the LPA who was most helpful and informed me I could make the changes online and that I needed to print off and sign the paper concerning the removal of a name and send a copy of the marriage certificate re: re change of status and address. Also I should have been given the option to receive the 15 page document for my own safekeeping and i would need to add the amendment to it. I was not given the document! Judith informed me that Power of Attorney needed to be a new request costing yet another £300! If her information had been correct I would have paid £1000 in total for a Will of a few lines and payment of Power of Attorney twice!!! It is cheaper and just as good to make your own Will and request Power of Attorney online. It would have cost me £157!!! Judith informed me that she wasnt aware you could make changes online and asked if I had spoken directly to the LPA! I was correct and there was no apology! If she wasnt aware then she should have been!!! A solicitor should know and she could have done quite easily have helped me as I assume she has the activation code. I now have to wait for the code to arrive by post by the end of the month. There are some good reviews re: conveyancing but nothing about Judith wrt to Wills and Power of Attorney. If I had paid the £300 and found out later that I could have paid nothing I would be involving the Ombudsman. I thought it was safer to go through a Solicitor as they would go through the pitfalls. We pay for their expertise and assume their advice is correct. I have since made a new Will and received a much better service. On the front page of the Will it states that if you enter into a Civil Partnership your Will is void and I accidently found out that information. I didnt even have a front page!!! If you have the confidence to do everythibg online you will save yourself a fortune. Not happy with the communication, knowledge and professionalism. It is so difficult to find a good solicitor and financial adviser.

I would recommend Francis and Co for house conveyancing. Jessica Godsell acted as my solicitor on the sale of my property in the Chepstow area. Very professional throughout the process which was quick as no chains either end . Communication by e.mail was responded to was often within a fifteen to thirty minute window. Charlotte Willis correspondence was in a user friendly format that was easy for me to understand . I felt the fees were very reasonable and would thoroughly recommend this Company .

Absolute shambles, solicitor was given the day off on the agreed exchange date that no one put on file. Poorly organised and not contactable via phone or email. Appalling level of service.

Horrendous - agreed to exchange on a specific date and didn't follow through. Not contactable. Not taking responsibility for a complete and utter shambles.

Charlotte Willis has been beyond professional in completing conveyancing for me on 2 separate occasions. The Francis & Co office is very warm and welcoming with friendly solicitors and staff members. They have dealt with any queries I have had quickly and with discretion. I would highly recommend this firm.
