Amazing hair cut and hair dye. Really appreciate the advice talking me through as I’m usually unable to explain and don’t get the cut I want. Focusing on what I didn’t want work worked a treat! Previous hair salons have advised I wouldn’t be able to get this ashy blonde colour, thank you for being patient and helping me get there.
The team was incredibly friendly and delightful, making for a pleasant experience. However, upon returning home and inspecting my hair closely, I felt quite confused. I had requested blonde highlights for my naturally ginger hair, but the result appeared more like peachy-pink highlights. It seems the toner didn’t work as intended, which can happen, but it would have been appreciated if I had been informed properly and offered a discount for the service. As someone who tends to be anxious, I realize I should have voiced my concerns. However, given the prices they charge, I expected it to be perfect. I paid £180 for a full head of highlights and toner, while in the past, I’ve only paid £105 for better results. First 2 photos below are highlights I received by smartest 73 salon. Wow! Honestly I am so happy that I have found this salon. Everyone is wonderful! I called up today to book in for a consultation- they got me in, in the afternoon and I ended up having my hair done there and then due to a cancellation. Jo cut my hair and she is incredible! I dont know the last time I walked away from a hair appointment and felt this happy. The cut is stunning and I cannot wait to return for a colour! Customer service from beginning to end was faultless. Highly recommend!
Loved the online booking process...it was flawless and efficient. I was booked in with Jo and came to her with very long, thick hair with a natural wave. My hair was down to my bottom so quite the task for a restyle! Jo was amazing. She listened to what I wanted, what my concerns and previous issues were and handled my hair with the most care I've ever had at a salon. I asked her to take a little more off the length and she was happy to oblige and the final cut is exactly the restyle I wanted and I've had nothing but compliments since I've had it done. She was so good, I immediately rebooked another maintenance appointment, something I have never felt comfortable to do elsewhere. Really happy and will be a returning customer - including a colour. 10/10

Can I just say this place has restored my faith in curly hair cuts. I have struggled so much finding salons that don't charge the earth for a curly hair cut and Jo worked wonders. Would highly recommend. Thanks guys xx
I highly recommend this salon! I was quite specific about the colour result I wanted and Steve absolutely nailed it. Jo, who cut my hair, also did a superb job and Ellie who washed my hair was very friendly. I left the salon feeling like “me” again. Thanks to the whole team. :)
Best haircut ever!! This was my second trip to Smartest 73 and I now cannot imagine going anywhere else - it really is excellent on all fronts. Jo and the team are so lovely and really make you feel at home whilst delivering such an amazing service - my hair has never looked so good. I just wish I could rate them higher than 5 out of 5!
