First time trying hounds the barbershop. Had a haircut from Lewis the new apprentice there. He was very friendly yet professional. The service was very good. He took my coat, shampooed my hair offered me a drink and gave me a hair cut that was one of the best I’ve had. I will definitely be coming back to Hounds barbers.
Hounds has been my hairdresser for a number of years. All staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. There is always a good atmosphere and everyone is made to feel welcome with a drink and a wide selection of music playing
Paul and his team at Hounds consistently manage to deliver both the old-school high quality barbering that I value as an older customer, and at the same time to cater for its younger, (perhaps more trendy) clients. I’ve had my haircut there over the past 2+ years and I’ve seen the business grow and deservedly prosper, I’m sure it will continue to do so.
I came in here needing a haircut at very short notice. Unfortunately, they were fully booked at that time, but Sonny, a trainee, said he could cut my hair there and then. I agreed, and he proceeded to do an awesome cut. At every stage he asked me what I wanted, how short I wanted to go etc., and he was very careful and thorough. Right at the end, Sonny said he’d call in Paul, the boss, to check what he’d done, and Paul made a few little refinements, but I have to say I’m delighted with my haircut, and everyone there was very friendly as well. It’s a great place.

Being a lady of a certain age I was somewhat nervous of using the services of Master Barber, Paul, to re-style my fading cut... Wow, Wow, Wow! How wrong was I to be unsure! Entrusting Paul was the best decision my daughter ever made for me! I was greeted by a lovely young man, Joe, who took my coat, offered me coffee, washed my hair, put me at ease & showed me to my chair. Paul introduced himself and listened intently to everything that I was hoping he would be able achieve. Paul did not disappoint as I left with the biggest smile, so very pleased with my finished cut. A first for a very long time. Hounds has a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, it's clean & tidy with friendly staff. Would I go back to a ladies hair salon?.... Not on your nelly! ;-)

This isn’t just a pop up barbers. This is a true barbering experience produced by masters. The level of service is exception, the quality of barbering is world class and this matched with the unique classy & relaxing decor makes this a fantastic experience.
