Closed early again! 10.20pm I went there and closed. Not supposed to close to 11pm! Joke!!

Very frustrating experience trying to return a parcel. Other customers pushed in front of me whilst queueing and as soon as I got to the till I was told to wait to one side as the scanner was in the back. I continued to wait whilst the colleagues swapped over but the staff member continued to serve every other customer leaving me to wait for a long time. Had I not have rejoined the queue I think I would have continued to be ignored. I shop here regularly and it isn’t the first negative experience I have had with staff being rude and unpleasant.

If I had the option to give no star I would press it with no problems! Today at 7:15 in the morning I was there after I finished a night shift to buy bread and milk. I got to the door and nothing happened, it was supposed to automatically open, I thought it was because of the weather. The outside was really bad rain and wind. I knocked on the door maybe one of the staff would help me. After 5- 7 minutes one of the members of staff came by the door saying that, it was closed. The opening times were 7am to 11 pm. When I left with my car another member of staff came by the door and opened it. So after I stayed outside in rain and wind and I was already going they opened the store. I am very disappointed about this and I will never go shopping there. Nothing was on the door to say that the store was closed! Shame on you!

Abusive store manager. He was off the clock too. Unprofessional. He hit me, I apologised. He accused me and abused me. He then threatened me because I was sticking up for myself unknowing he was the manager. Health and safety hazard as well. The reason the situation escalated. Is because his colleague was hogging one entire aisle with 2 stock cages leaving no room. I was right up against the rack trying to get past. He accidentally hits me with his items he was buying, I say "Sorry" yet wasn't my fault, then says "You should watch where you're going". I didn't retaliate, he came around to pay, he was there and then said it again to me, I responded with "Excuse me?" He repeated himself. I responded saying he should watch himself he hit me, I was right up against the rack trying to get past. Then accused me of not apologising, yet I said sorry at the time even though it wasn't my fault. Threatened to kick me out because I was standing up for myself, I said get the cameras and check who was in the wrong. Rude manager. Imagine what he's like to his staff when treating customers like that.

As with most convenience stores there is a lot of junk and scrap packaging around the shop and assistants restocking on the run. Tesco is no better or worse than its competitors in this regard.

I try to avoid the place! The old staff that have been there for years are lovely the newer staff (that they brought in for covid) are rude and arrogant the manager needs sacking for hiring them. I found the manager to be rude also maybe that's why she likes hiring rude staff because they are just like her!

I have been using the local Tesco store for more than three years and for almost three years have been carrying my toy poodle of 4kg into the shop at least 4 to 5 times a week. The managers have been fine about this and as long as you do not put your dog on the floor there has been no issues. There are many other local people in the village who use the shop and carry in little dogs and this will affect them also. I did not like her attitude when I told her how this would affect me and others and about dog thefts in the area so they cannot be left outside. She shrugged and just said, β€˜oh well, no dogs allowed’ I said I would no longer shop at Tesco and would be using another supermarket in future and again she shrugged. I have been a Tesco shopper for over 30 years and if this is the attitude of their managers then no wonder they have had problems. They allow children to take scooters and bikes inside the shop and they have been ridden through poo and wee and it seems okay for them to be in the shop but not a dog carried in your arms. I have seen kids with dirty hands , fingers up their noses and touching the cakes but you can’t carry in a dog. I have seen drunk unkept people in the store with body odour to make you heave but you must not carry your little pooch into the shop. This new manageress needs to chance her attitude and not lose local customers, she has managed to do this with me and members of my family. She had the audacity to ask me was my dog a guide dog, since when have toy poodles been used as guide dogs....very patronising.....angry as hell
