Love lidl, but so many queues in this place. Looked through window and turned around and went Aldi twice. Terrible to say and something I've never done before, is leave a full basket inside due to the queues. Get more people on the tills or install self service tills. Aldi have them. I do not like complaining!

At around 4pm on Friday 24th October at the Barry store, a lovely young man who was unboxing pallets of veg was extremely helpful. He especially came up to me at the till after keeping an eye out for sweet potatoes for me while he unboxed pallets ( there were none on shelves at that point) as he had just unboxed them. I was extremely grateful because he'd gone out of his way to help! Not only that but he was working so quickly and got through two pallets in about 10 minutes. Thank you for your wonderful service. This lad does you credit. I really like your store!!

4 stars mainly because if checkouts any lidl people will know if u go in for just a few things expect to que for ages. Only ever 2 checkouts with a million people with trolleys in front of you. Why lidl dont do self service checkouts I dont know. But on the upside they tend to have more middle isle offers.

I rarely visit now, due to the time waiting at the checkouts. I know they're cheaper that the compression but I simply can't be arsed waiting 20 minutes to buy a doughnut.

Really good on prices plus there are now some great British brands at low prices. The centre Isle speaks for itself and the staff are polite and very helpful. A long chalk line from how Lidles started some years ago.

Really busy store on a Saturday morning. Luckily most stuff still available. The only thing missing in all UK Lidls is decent bread rather than the usual horrid sourdough fayre. Such a shame. The continent Lidls are much better in this regard.

The stores are clean, with friendly staff and if you get used to layout they rarely change it. It makes shopping so much easier. Fresh produce always lasts longer than my other local big super. I do not shop elsewhere, why would I?
