   We have taken our puppy here 3 times. The first was excellent, second OK, but last Wednesday morning (17/12) they did a shocking job - he had lots of fur around his eyes not trimmed, nails not cut and generally looked as if nothing much had been done. I think the service you get depends on the groomer, but you can't use a business not knowing whether you will be lucky and get what you pay for or not.

   Definitely won’t be taking my dog back here . Booked her in for a full groom . Her nails were barley cut . I paid an extra 10 for them to get rid of the hair around her bottom and to deshed. She’s now multing even worse than she was before! . Will be using a private groomer from now on

   So I understand that the Epsom brach, inside Pets at Home is now under new management. We were accommodated at very short notice, and they did a great job with my 4 years old golden retriever. Will definitely be visiting again.

   I have used the Groom Room since my dog was a puppy and always been happy. Last week I took him in and asked for his usual trim, keeping his feathering and cowlicks. When I picked him up I was shocked to see him shaved. The groomer (never had this groomer before) showed my dogs stomach and said his hair was too thin. I was shocked but didn’t want to make a scene, what could I do after all!!! When I got home I noticed diamond chunks on his chest and bald patches on his legs. I contacted Pets at Home. Their response was that the groomer had said I had asked my dog to be shaved like a Staffie and that my dogs hair on his stomach was so thin this is why he ended up close to bald (never been an issue before!). Why oh why would I ask for a Cocker Spaniel to be shaved like a staffie and in winter at that???? I was then offered a £10 store voucher. No acknowledgement that clearly the groomer had messed up. At no point did the customer service team address the diamonds which seem to have been hacked into my dogs chest. Unless they get their old team back avoid, avoid, avoid. I would have appreciated it if the mistake and poor cut were acknowledged and a suitable apology given. Instead a totally inexplicable justification was give offered. Cocker Spaniel to be shaved like a Staffie. Oh please have some respect Groom Room.

   Walked in 5 weeks ago to ask for minimal age they would take our puppy in for small hair cut and been told they would do it no problem any time so booked in for today. Service for small puppy was supposed to cost around £18 and paid it as deposit. When turned up today another member of staff told us that dog is too young for haircut and was only booked for one hour instead of two anyway so they would only offer hair wash and brush so I don't lose my deposit. My dog is really small and usually do this myself in less than 5 minutes (properly). I was absolutely shocked on collection when discovered I need to pay additional fee or my dog will not be given back to me, not to mention she wasn't even brushed properly so needed to do it all again back home. I will certainly never be back here again- one star is one too many

   Big thank you to the team at the Groom Room today who did a beautiful job of my Archie. They were so caring and helpful despite him being a handful when it came to his nails! Very grateful for the care you took of him. Thank you so much ladies.

   Booked an appointment. Got phone call Monday asking to secure appointment and to ask if my puppy had his jabs. Couldn’t answer as I was abroad. Came back today, land and immediately get a phone call saying the appointment is cancelled and how they’ve tried to get in contact with me (which I have photo to prove they haven’t - only two calls this week, first on Monday which I couldn’t answer, and the one today cancelling). Cancelled the appointment because they couldn’t secure the deposit. I offered to pay in full this morning ahead of the appointment but was still refused service and offered a vacancy in 2-3 weeks time instead. No thank you. Don’t recommend. Not with this sort of service…

   Was shouted at by one of the groomers due to a misunderstanding among themselves. Her manager seemed annoyed that I complained and was more interested in telling me what a ‘kind and caring person’ she was. Not in my experience! I’ll be supporting small businesses in the future.

   Absolute lovely staff. Gemma looked after my two cats very well. Lia in reception was lovely to speak to and even went ahead putting the details on the system for the chipped cat - saving time! Had both cats nailed clipped and one cat chipped. Would definitely recommend and go to again. Thanks girls!
