Absolutely disgusting behaviour doctor told the mental health team that she suggested that they admit him, he got a phone call back of the mental health team with an appointment they didn't even assess his needs you don't even deserve 1 star
I was in elmdale ward for just over 3 days, no rights read, medication withheld, had to literally beg for pain relief. I have never been more terrified in my life. No communication from staff, avoid at all costs. It has left me traumatised.
I have a close friend that had stayed in your premises. Understanding the nature of psychological help services. I honestly think it could be vitally beneficial for facilitates that allow patients to procrastinate and enjoy themselves; I.e. a pool table, games consoles, gaming areas, TV rooms etc. When patients are in their most vulnerable state when left to their own thoughts, I just think that other facilities to escape from mental trauma for a little while could be beneficial I hope this concern is viewed and discussed Thankyou kindly, A concerned friend hoping for future developments in the medical/psychological research factor of UK medicine
I was a patient there in october and it was the worst experience ive had. The night staff in particular were patronising and insulting. Defiently not a healing enviroment for the mentally ill. More like a detriment. Do not go. They do not fully appreciate and respect the pain that those people are in. Hideous place.
where do i start? staff brought me meals to my room every single time i was hungry... they did blood tests in my room... they brought me the phone to my room... they did everything i told them to do, they treated me like i was a king... is it coincidence that i was in a royal hospital? HATS OFF TO THE STAFF HERE THEY DESERVE A PAY RISE YGM?! the only thing i was unhappy about was the rats who said i was bringing drugs in through pizza boxes:( this hospital must have the finest staff in the whole country i aint kidding... they legit treated me like i was a king? when i refused to collect my food they just brought it to my room? these staff one hundred percent are the best in the country... the staff were very attentive... i sometimes think they were better than most hotel staff? they were very quick with meals when i was hungry? it was free to stay here i aint sure if i prefer ashdale or the ritz? lol:( they never repaired my alarm bell when i asked several times they knew i was gon pound that alarm 24/7 they werent stupid lol i dont blame them for not repairing it:)
A disgraceful level of care is currently taking place here, no communication between staff and they admit they are understaffed and unable to meet basic care needs for patients. AVOID!!
Currently In here, communication between staff is absolutely diabolical. Toilet been leaking 3 days and every time I tell someone they havent heard anything about it. Been give tablets that aren't even documented so could have as much as you want for all they actually know . Feel worse for been in here. If you value your mental health avoid it. There is the odd good couple of staff that's about it.
The Stroke Ward here can only be described in one word AMAZING!!!! My faith and trust in the NHS was destroyed after my mother in laws second admission to Pinderfields Hospital. I can't tell you how incredible the staff have been from A&E to this fantastic ward. My mother in law had a traumatic stroke. The staff here from domestic staff to Consultant have made her their number 1 priority. Every aspect of her health has been studied reviewed and corrected. The staff here are so extremely friendly helpful informative professional kind sympathetic and attentive not only to their patients but to the families and each other. What an incredible mix here of medicine & science and a holistic approach to wellness. THANK YOU!
