Have taken my little fluff baby Winnie here for her past few grooms after trying a few different places and I am always very happy with the service and end result of her groom here. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The grooming team are always patient with my girl who has some separation anxiety. 10/10!
I’ve brought my cockapoo here three times. The first time, they did a fantastic job — exactly what I asked for (see photo 1). Unfortunately, the second visit didn’t go as well. Despite giving precise instructions, they weren’t followed. Since the staff are friendly, I decided to give them another chance. This time, I even showed them the photo from the first visit, which they took a photo of, and again gave clear instructions. After two and a half hours, I picked him up — I was in a rush and didn’t check everything properly until later. Sadly, they didn’t follow the instructions or the photo reference again. His moustache was cut in a very messy and unflattering way. (Photo 2) I didn’t bring it up at the time, and I regret not doing so — but realistically, there wasn’t much they could do to fix it. I’m disappointed, especially because the first groom showed they can do a great job when they follow instructions.
Without a doubt the most skilled and loving dog groomers in North London. They’ve cared for our elderly Bichon Frise and his needs. And our latest bonkers Portuguese Water Dog puppy. The team always give the best advice along the way. Highly recommend.
Hair of the dog wonderful! My little cavapoo Bella runs into their arms,, can’t wait to be there. It’s Not only her hairdressers, but her social club. They make her so welcome. We are very regular customers, as Bella loves mud. They do a marvellous job of cutting her hair and grooming her at very reasonable prices

We started bringing our puppy to Hair of the Dog when she was very little to get her used to groomers. The team is very friendly and takes great care of our Tilly. She always comes out with a wagging tail and beautiful, shiny fur. Would recommend to anyone in the area!
I would highly recommend this Dog Groomers. Each time I have visited the store, staff have always been cheerful & friendly which I find always helps. My dog has now visited twice for a junior spa treatment and his nails clipped. The service each time was spectacular, finishing ahead of our pick up time. Prices maybe a little more than you can get at Pets at Home but what is cost when you get first class service? Me and my dog feel valued and will continue to visit this business.
