Today, at Pets at Home, in the fish department, we waited over 30 minutes without being served, despite the store not being particularly busy. After calling Vlada several times, she finally came over but still refused to sell us a fish, claiming they were closing, even though it was only 4:00 pm and the store closes at 4:30 pm. She showed no interest in helping us and avoided our area for most of the time. This level of customer service is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on Pets at Home as a brand. Management should seriously address this situation, as customers deserve basic respect and professional service.”

Visited the Chingford store on Saturday to pick up some supplies for our new pet tortoise and ended up having such a brilliant experience! I brought my three daughters along and they took part in the kids’ activity session and honestly, it exceeded all expectations. They were taken around to see different types of pets and given a really engaging, in-depth session about what the animals eat, where they come from, their habitats, and how to care for them properly. The highlight for the girls was being able to actually handle some of the animals including the corn snakes and the bearded dragons. They haven’t stopped talking about it since! A huge thank you to Vlada, who led the session. She was absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and clearly passionate about what she does. She made the whole experience fun, educational, and memorable for all of us. And a big shoutout to the rest of the team too — every single staff member we spoke to was friendly, helpful and welcoming and also tips on saving using promotions available on our purchases. Plus, thank you for the balloons, stickers and activity packs the girls got to take home, you really made their day. Highly recommended for both pet owners and families, we’ll definitely be back!

few weeks ago, I visited Pets at Home in Chingford with my daughter to purchase her first goldfish. At the till, we asked for some assistance and were told someone would be called. After waiting a while and asking again, the colleague kindly radioed a second time, but we were still waiting. I then decided to look for help myself and came across a staff member named Amy, who was putting stock out. The moment I asked, she immediately stopped what she was doing and offered to help us without hesitation. From start to finish, Amy was absolutely fantastic – she was knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly helpful. It’s rare nowadays to come across someone who truly takes pride in their work, but Amy is one of those people. She is a real credit to the Chingford branch and to Pets at Home as a company. I really hope she is recognised and celebrated for her outstanding work ethic and customer care. Since that visit, every time we return, we make sure to see Amy – she has been phenomenal each time.

Really disappointed with the click and collect experience at Pets at Home Chingford. I arrived with an email confirming my order was ready for collection, expecting it to be a quick in-and-out. Instead, I was left waiting far too long while staff struggled to locate it. Meanwhile, I watched three other customers in the regular queue pay for large baskets of goods and leave — all while I stood waiting at the collection point for what was supposed to be the faster option. When my order finally did turn up, there was no apology, no acknowledgment of the delay. Two staff members even had their backs to me, despite the fact I was the only customer left there. Poor customer service, no sense of urgency or courtesy. Won’t be using this branch ever again.

Absolutely terrible experience with my cat, Sheldon, who was 12 and in good shape. We took him in for a bladder infection which in total cost £560 but the incompetent vets didn't lock the cat box properly, which caused our cat to escape out of the bix quite close to home in Leyton. After 5 days of searching we were informed that our cat was hit by a car via chip by another vet service. Morale of the review Don't take your animals to this vet service... More likely to end up dead than getting better.

Had such a lovely time meeting the staff and getting everything I needed for my rescue pup, I'm so happy with the advice given to me and with all the items I got and the serious win over discount for signing up as a member which you can do on the "pet's for homes" app and you can't go wrong honestly. Thanks to Mark and the other guy whose name I didn't catch but as for customer service the we're brilliant. Today is: 13/01/2023 Thank you for everything today even the lady at the pet counter brilliant service thank you..

I visited the store tonight to inform them that the kitten food I purchased shockingly contained small, hard stones in it. It was 'Nature's Menu' brand, chicken broth. I have contacted the brand to inform them and they have raised an investigation in to the batch. I thought by taking it back to pets at home, I could get my money back and they can also do something about the other tins on their shelves since they are suppliers. If they have the same batch on the shelves, they should remove it incase any kittens are harmed. I was served by the manager who didn't show any concern as to what I was telling him, (my kitten's health could have been harmed or he could have choked). He told me it's policy that they put the 8 tins I was taking back, back on the shelves. I was disappointed to hear this as it could be harmful to another kitten and pet owner not knowing what it contains. It was the fact that there was no concern about what was in the food and what I had found that I found alarming. I showed him a picture and he glanced at it quickly, not really listening. He was more focused on just issuing the refund.. I'm just beyond baffled by the lack of concern. He told me that it's policy that it goes back to on the shelves until instructed by head office - what sort of company puts any faulty product back on the shelves, especially when it's harmful, for other consumers to purchase? I then chose another brand of kitten food and went to checkout at the till. I was served by a young lady at the till who continued to tell us she can't check my pets at home app for vouchers... interesting comment, as at other branches, they jump to help. Her attitude was terrible, she didn't want to be there. As I started to check my phone for the vouchers I could use, she tapped the till so the order went through. What sort of service is this? This is basic customer service. I won't be back at Pets at Home. There's no genuine care for the animals, it's just a business, it's just about the money.

Big store with located in a small shopping area with vehicle parking. They stock a wide variety of products catering to pets. Little animals and fishes are sold in the store. There's also a pet grooming service in store. The staff are friendly and helpful.
