Terrible service. I arrived on time for my 8:30am Irish visa appointment, only to be told there was no staff available to conduct it due to sickness that had been ongoing since the previous week. This was not communicated when I booked the appointment the day before, nor was there any apology. I was advised to travel to London or Birmingham instead. As a result, I wasted my time, annual leave, and money travelling a long distance. This situation could have been avoided with proper communication and system updates. Very poor service.

The experience with VFS cardiff is really great. The lady who handle the ireland visa is so friendly. Thanks to her service we managed to complete everything soon. Opens at 8.30am. No rush for Ireland visa.

I attended our passport surrender appointment with my family and have to say we are very impressed. It was a pleasant experience, staff are professional and very helpful. I specifically want to appreciate and thanks staff Gagan who processed our applications. He is professional, warm , patient and always willing to help . He definitely went an extra mile in guiding us through the next steps after this application before I even asked ! ( which was in my mind ) . I truly believe he is an asset to VFS . My appointment took around 15 mins to compete and over all experience was excellent.

I had one of the most positive and heartwarming experiences at VFS Global Cardiff, thanks to two extraordinary women — one Asian lady and one Black lady — whose names I sadly didn’t catch, so I can only refer to them by appearance. I truly wish I knew their names, because they deserve to be personally acknowledged and celebrated. These two women didn’t just provide good service — they went far beyond anything we expected. With grace, empathy, and incredible patience, they helped us through a very difficult and stressful situation. I won’t go into detail, but what they did for us was far more than routine assistance — it was genuine human kindness at its finest. Their professionalism, compassion, and willingness to help made a world of difference for us. We walked in feeling overwhelmed, and walked out feeling supported and deeply grateful. VFS Global is truly lucky to have them. Thank you both — from the bottom of our hearts.

I recently visited the VFS Global Indian Passport Centre for my baby’s birth certificate and passport, and I had a great experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and guided me through every step with ease. The atmosphere was welcoming and professional. Please note that there is no parking at the centre itself, but there is paid parking just a 2-minute walk away on the next street. The charge is around 4 pounds for 3 hours. Overall, a smooth and pleasant experience!

We recently visited the Cardiff vfs centre for passport and newborn birth certificate registration. The new office is more spacious than the previous location, and public paid parking is available opposite street near Howard gardens building. In vfs centre, the staff are so helpful and polite and customer friendly, especially Ms Vanita. She was very helpful with our application submission. We thank the management for improving the facility and customer service.

Calm staff with patience, working with limited facilities and providing best services are commendable. They are truly respectful and professional. An announcement was made that they are moving in the bigger space soon was welcoming. Despite Small space, applicants waiting outside building, limited staff, one of three counters shared with another country’s embassy, no coupons system, appointments are called by the booked time after 2-3 hours delay. The ques can go down to 35-40% as soon as E-Visa services resumes. These staff are doing great in adversity and deserve appreciation. Good work guys, best wishes. Five stars because of staff’s dedication , their top bosses need urgent attention to make it smooth and pleasant experience for India-visa applicants.

We had a 11.00 appointment at the VFS Office in Cardiff and were not seen until 13:15 due to a number of issues including IT system breakdown, many applicants coming to the centre ill prepared with their documentation. To be honest, the online proposal to complete the various forms are so brittle and cumbersome that its nothing more than expected than to see people turn up at the office who are either sent home as the application is completely in disorder or they have made half an attempt and are allowed to complete their application whilst at the counter when submitting their forms. No matter the issue, the queues and the constant frustrations. I have to admit I saw Naomi who is one of the staff who was at the counter dealing with customer applications - display excellent customer service skills. She was never once flustered by the constant niggles of applicants with ill prepared documentation and questions. She remained courteous to each and every customer giving them her full attention. In those three hours I never saw her go off and take a break, she dealt with the backlog with a smile on her face and is a shining example that there are key workers in an organisation who provide an indication that your application will be dealt with the care and attention that it merits amongst the chaos that resumes around you. This young woman is a star and deserves all the praise she gets and I just hope that she is recognised and valued by the big boys upstairs in her organisation as we certainly did. We were so glad to be served by Naomi after a long frustrating day at the office waiting room. She put a smile back on our face as we headed back home for the long drive back to London. Well done, Naomi. You absolute Star !

Received my sons OCI yesterday and all thanks to Nikesh and Vanita at VFS Cardiff. They went over and beyond to help me out as i was missing some documents when i initially uploaded and also had some mistakes on the application form itself. They could have easily said ' im sorry its your fault' but Nikesh gave me the time needed there to fill and submit the form. It would otherwise have been a waste of my journey as i had come all the way from London as i was not getting a slot there. I have provided some photos of the checklist that was there which will be helpful for others. Thank you guys again.
