This is the Worst surgery that I’ve ever had the misfortune to use! From the rude and inconsiderate reception staff, to the even ruder, incompetent and downright obnoxious practice manager all the way to Dr Reema, who in my opinion, doesn’t actually have a caring bone in her body! The way they treat you, send you running pillar to post, are NEVER clear on anything, yet expect patients to just be patient and silent! They have messed me around twice now & this time is even worse as it’s to do with my toddler! The lack of care and compassion from this surgery is truly disgusting and I would tell everyone to stay away if you can help it!

This was my first time seeing Dr. Parastou Alizadeh, and I was genuinely impressed by the level of care I received. From the moment I stepped into the room, she made me feel at ease with her calm, friendly, and professional manner. Despite it being our first appointment, she took the time to listen attentively to my concerns, asked thoughtful questions, and explained everything clearly and patiently. I didn’t feel rushed at any point, which made a huge difference in feeling heard and supported. It’s rare to come across a doctor who makes such a strong positive impression on a first visit. I left feeling reassured, well-informed, and confident that I was in capable hands. I will definitely be requesting to see her again where possible!

I rang to request to see a GP to discuss anti depressants and the receptionist would not let me book with a doctor she said to me ‘ have you spoken to the crisis team’ I said no because I am not open to them and you have to be in order to speak to them, also they do not medicate people and I do not wish to speak to them. She then said ‘if you won’t speak to the MH people or the crisis team what do you expect the doctor to do?’ Gate keeping people from accessing a GP is illegal and admin staff are about as far from medically trained as it gets. I am ex police and perfectly capable of understanding what medical needs I myself have. I need to speak to a GP to obtain anti depressants and the reception staff will not allow this. DR rema needs to get rid of that two minute recorded mgs on the practice phone as it is simply untrue. The reception staff are unhelpful and play god which could clear people’s lives in reality. I have had to report them to the cqc since they also would not allow me to speak to the practice manager in order to make a formal complaint which nhs England has advised me to do. I also spoke to the crisis team who confirmed I am correct they do not medicate and do not speak with people not open to them either and they told me the practice staff need educating as they have misinformed me, to which I said I already knew but the receptionists will not listen to me. There is very clearly an issue with the reception staff gate keeping and making medical decisions they are not qualified to make given the reviews here. I have been left now with just a text mgs to a number I do not wish to ring. I want and need to see a GP and instead have been blocked by reception. Meanwhile I am becoming more unwell.

A big thank you to the reception and nursing staff who were both so kind to me when I got upset and flustered in clinic today. Your kindness and compassion were much appreciated. A great job from both reception and nurse Sarah. Thank you ladies, a little kindness and understanding goes a log way

I feel privileged to have a Doctor's surgery as good as Ratby. I hear so many complaints on other Surgeries. The service we as patients receive from the reception staff to nurses and doctors is truly amazing. Thank you each and everyone of the staff for treating their patients with consideration and as people.

Excellent surgery. When I moved away from the area several years ago I had been so impressed with their service that I remained registered with them rather than find another surgery in the area I'd moved to. The quality continues. Very helpful receptionist when I phoned for an appointment a few days ago. The GP I saw today was very thorough and did an excellent job of explaining the issues to me. And wait times to see the GP, and for my blood test, and for my recent vaccinations, have all been very short.

Ratby Surgery have been nothing but amazing since I moved here. I moved across from Blaby and was shocked at how well I was treated at Ratby surgery. I had good experiences with the reception staff and the GP that dealt with me. They were quick to respond and I genuinely feel that they cared and understood about the issue that I brought to them. Thank you for all of your help

Brilliant surgery. The receptionists are really easy to speak to and the doctors patient care is excellent. I have always been taken seriously and treated with respect at this surgery. I have moved house so am having to register elsewhere but wanted to give a well deserved thank you for all of the care I have been given at this practice.

I don't have good experience with Ratby Surgery. I don't understand why patients can not get any face to face GP appointment. The pandemic is nearly finished, over 80% people in UK have taken vaccinations so the risk is definitely low. The government provide all equipment for stuff to prevent spreading the virus so why GP surgery can not provide the same service like Urgent Care Centres, Ambulance Crew or Doctors from hospitals. This is not right in respect of patients who really need proper assessment. Phone assessment it is so unprofessional in my opinion. This is not only one episode. I am not happy with Ratby Surgery this is why I did sigh out. I don't recommend that Surgery.
