I have been going to Arbuthnots in Penarth for many years and have always been entirely satisfied with them in every way. The opticians are exceedingly thorough and all staff are competent and pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to recommen them to anyone.

A really good opticians. I came here after I was told “it’s as good as you can get”, from another opticians. I didn’t believe that was true. These opticians are excellent, they explained the issues with my eye prescription, they gave me options. They are just as good value as I had before, but I get excellent, friendly, personal service. Really recommend.
Couldn’t be happier with the service. I contacted the opticians about having tinted lenses to help with the light sensitivity I have due to being autistic. The specific tint wasn’t something that was available normally but the staff were able to get ahold of the tint from a different lab and provide me with 3 different tint strengths to trial for a week to make sure they helped. I was able to choose the tint strength that suited me best and they are currently being made for me. Really felt like the staff were genuinely interested in trying to help me, especially when most high street chains have stopped offering these kind of accommodations with their services.
