I was a patient here for 11 months and I can’t tell you the amount of abuse the staff did. I was physically assaulted by a nurse and no one listened to me when I wanted to make a complaint. I hated this place and it only made me worse. So glad I got outta there because I was ill with an infection from a wound and they didn’t even listen. They just ignored it until I got to my new place and they immediately started me on anti biotics and had to go to hospital to have IV antibiotics. This place will forever be a trauma and trigger for me and I hope no one has to go through the hell that me and several other MINORS did when I was there.

My son is currently on Beck Ward, he has been extremely unwell and has complex needs. The last fifteen years i have lost count of the number of hospitals he has been admitted to. My experience ( and obviously his ) has been varied some good some less so, except for his first admission none have been terrible. This is the BEST hospital , the staff are compassionate and caring. I cannot speak highly enough about them . The patience shown with him is unreal. Thank you all so much.

Beck ward staff have been brilliant in supporting me. The ward manager always had time for me and the nurses and support workers have done a great job. Wishing the hospital all the best as I move on

Staff were both verbally and physically neglectful. People were dragged out of bedrooms with nowhere to go and left to severely self harm. Nurses would just walk away during medical emergencies. This isn't okay.

i was on mermaid ward in 2021, traumatised me to this day i still have nightmares and flashbacks about it. staff neglected me and verbally abused me, i was left to bleed in the corridors for hours, was shoved in anti ligs and left to head bang for hours! awful

Best ward I've ever been to. Staff were extremely kind and responsive and handled situations fantasticly. I was only there for 5 weeks but I felt so looked after by the staff team.

I was first admitted to middlemarch ward where I received little support when adjusting to it. As a rehabilitation ward , they offered just one hour a week of talking therapy and the leave given was very minimal. The garden door was locked, as was the quiet room and altogether with very little leave, it felt very closterphobic. It wasn't that the staff don't care there but there just wasn't enough staff, sometimes 3 staff to 16 patients.you could bang your head against the wall for hours there and nobody would come leaving blood against the walls. I was eventually transferred to find more ward which though it was chaotic, there was always staff around so you felt safe and the doctor was brilliant unlike middlemarch ward goes doctors were all locum so changed frequently with different views, leaving me confused
