Looking at others people's review this surgery is not what it used to be. Over the last 12 months I have had nothing but issues with the prescription team not issuing my father's prescription in a timely manner it takes between 3 to 5 phone calls a month to sort out his repeat medication and stoma bags. I honestly wish we could move my dad to another surgery or that they would have an unannounced CQC visit to see the mess it is in . My dad is an elderly vulnerable housebound patient who is not looked after by the prescription team . He as been waiting since the 8th December for his stoma bags and the stoma bags people have requested 5 times and they still have not had his prescription sent to them . Absolutely disgusted that a human being can be so poorly treated. Its inhumane

The doctors and all the staff are perfect apart of the young girl in the reception omg the face she gave to none British person is unbelievable despite I'm Asian British and also registered with them since 2017, my son temperature was 38.9 at the time she told me go home we call you back from now which it was 9:10am I said sorry lovely but the temperature is high sorry its the surgery policy, I walked out , I went to the Royal Gwent they send me to Grange hospital A&E straightaway because the temperature was going up to 39.8, I think they need someone behind that desk who got a little more experience, better looking face , better attitude.

Prescription line tell you one thing and when your prescription isn't ready reception tell you something else. Also, a few of the younger receptionists are rude and unhelpful.

A sign of the times. I reached out to the surgery via email with a photograph of a rash on my back and asked if they could provide an opinion. I wish now that I had asked for an appointment and told them that I couldnt take a photograph of it. With no sign of empathy, they suggested I visit a chemist. Like someone else has already commented, God help you when you get old and need medial advice.

I have always found Bellevue Surgery to be efficient and helpful. I have been able to get home visits for me and my husband when needed, referrals to other health care when neccessary and the call back feature when you ring is much better than being on hold for ages. Staff are all lovely and everything is spotless. As they have a very large patient list it can occasionally be a little difficult to get an appointment but if you really need to see someone they will do their utmost to see you

This surgery is amazing great staff doctors and nurses. Parking is not great the car park is small and most people try parking on the road during the opening times this is difficult but they do have disabled parking

Very bad organisation. We have a variety of new taxi drivers that were told that they need to wait 4 to 6 months to get the medical record (only). This is disgraceful to wait four months to print something out of their system. The drivers will now have to repeat the taxi exams with the council again as the surgery hasn’t provided these on time. They lost money and time waiting in the Bellevue surgery to print a paper. Every time the surgery is called, they say the same thing “the team deal with this is on holiday” we have never experienced such a rudimentary and complicated process anywhere in the country. Well done, NHS Wales and Bellevue Surgery Newport.

As a new patient I find the staff very friendly and rang them for a appointment at 9 am and saw the lovely doctor at 11 am unlike my old GP surgery which took 3-4 days to see a GP. I needed proof of my covid booster jab for a cruise but the website was down and the receptionist found my records and printed them out for me and my wife saving our holiday. Brilliant so far, can’t fault them.

Fantastic doctors practice! 1. The reception team are always friendly and helpful. 2. If I really need an appointment (for the kids), the help clinic or GPs will always see us the same day that we phone. The GPs have always called when they’ve said they will when I need it. 3. When I use the doctors/help clinic the help and advice is fantastic. Thank you to all the team at Bellevue. The few poor reviews here on google do not reflect the practice at all. Thanks to you all:)

It's a busy surgery but they are always very friendly, helpful and responsive. It does take time to get through the emergency line but at my previous doctors they expected you to physically go and queue, outside, standing in the cold from half 7 to try to get an appointment. Definitely recommend.
