Very unhelpful. I requested simple information about my pet and requested to book an appointment for his vaccinations. Instead I was rushed off the phone, ill advised costing me time need to book him in for an urgent matter and told they’d send me an email and call me back in their own time. Unacceptable

I’m deeply concerned by the number of reviews that echo my recent experience with the primary vet at this branch. I left feeling judged and genuinely confused at how poor the service could be in an environment that should prioritize care and compassion. The vet didn’t even offer a simple “hello,” which set the tone for a cold, unwelcoming interaction from the start. What’s especially concerning is how many other reviews mention the same issues - cold, standoffish behavior, lack of empathy, and a judgmental attitude from the primary vet. This doesn’t seem to be an isolated experience, which makes it even more troubling. That said, I want to highlight that the receptionists have always been warm, friendly, and professional. I’ll be moving to a different branch in hopes of finding a more compassionate and respectful environment for both myself and my pets.

I recently visited the vet with my almost 2-year-old dog, who has never shown signs of aggression before. However, during the visit, he became distressed and growled out of fear while having his temperature taken. This is understandable given the unfamiliar environment and the discomfort of the procedure. While the vet ( Joanne) did explain the issue my dog was experiencing today, as well as the process of neutering for the future, I was deeply disappointed in her approach( one of the things being that this kind of breed husky to be more specific are aggressive, being told quite a few times during the consult I did not appreciated one bit) She made no effort to comfort or calm my dog, and there was a noticeable lack of empathy throughout the visit. I was hoping for reassurance, both for myself and for my dog, but instead, the vet’s demeanor felt cold and emotionless. I left the clinic feeling shaken, as I was expecting a more compassionate and understanding approach, especially from someone working with animals. I hope this feedback encourages the clinic to prioritise empathy and create a more supportive environment for pets and their owners in the future.

I've been using goddards since 2013 and I must say they are amazing. I've had 2 cats neutered (male and female) by Jo and 1 dog (female) and I must say the process has been nothing short of excellent. Jo is a godsend. She's very caring and kind. They are professional yet very caring and understanding. They treated my exempt "xl bully" with nothing but love and care. She was very well looked after during her day at the clinic and was given alot of affection. Highly recommend this vets. All the staff are brilliant. A little bit more expensive than surrounding vets but worth every penny just for the service alone. The vets itself is always clean, I like that it's never busy/overcrowded in the waiting room like other vets, appointments 99.9% of the time are on time, parking literally on the doorstep.

I took my new kitten for her first check up. The team were very friendly, helpful, and gentle.

I was bringing my dog here for its yearly check up and booster with the vet prescribing DHP (required every 3 years), L4 and Kennel Cough (not needed unless brought to a kennel) and advising that all 3 were required every year. When we moved I took my dog to a different practise. The new vet explained that only the L4 vaccines was required yearly. The vet at Goddard practise has been providing false information and giving my dog vaccines that were not required just to make a bit of extra money. I am in the process of reporting this practise for malpractice. Do not bring your pet here as all they care about is your money, not the actual animal welfare.

The receptionists here are so lovely but I found the primary vet to be cold and stand offish. With the initial consultation we were told that diagnosis could be X or Y and a blood test was needed. There was no further discussion (period) on what the implications could/would be on either of those cases to give us an informed decision on next steps. We felt very rushed, as though us being there was a burden to the vet, and agreed to take my cat in again the next day for the blood test. My cat was severely sick (I admit my family took him to the vets too late) and worsened even more overnight so I made the decision to let him pass without further pain rather than put him through a botch of tests and delay the inevitable. In hindsight I should have pressed more during the consultation rather than let my cat suffer for another 24 hours. During the "leave" Jo stayed with us and did not give us any privacy which again made us feel like she was waiting for us to leave. I visited the Medivet Hendon 2 years prior for a "passing" and the vet there gave us time alone with our cat. I've asked for my other cats medical records and will be transferring to another vet. I hope you have a better experience.

I have been taking my mother's cat there for years. Always found them to be caring and very nice people. Would definitely recommend.
