   We’ve been coming to Winton lodge for years now and have always been happy with their services until recently. To keep this review brief, I found my dog in a critical state and when I called in tears I was told they were fully booked. There have been numerous times I’ve been in the waiting room and been told my appointment will be delayed due to an emergency which I have always been happy to accommodate. My dog was not given that same treatment and I was told to “call somewhere else”. We did find another MediVet who told us “how could your local vet not make room for him, he is not in a fit state to travel.” My dog ended up needing emergency surgery and is still in critical condition. Winton lodge made the wrong call and it almost cost my dog’s life. They are great for average appointments but when it really matters, they failed. Given my dogs recent medical history and the fact he had been referred to a specialist weeks ago you’d think they might understand this was a genuine emergency. The staff here have always been so friendly and I’ve genuinely loved this practice and recommended it to many friends, which is why I am so surprised and disappointed in how they treated us. I feel bad posting a negative review here but I cannot forgive this oversight on their part. Take your pet somewhere where they don’t tell you to “call somewhere else”.

   Been taking my dog here for 16 years. Now that Simon,Clare,Issy, and Zac have left and it has become Medivet it has gone completely downhill. There is no compassion anymore and it is all about charging more money. The new staff have a terrible hostile attitude and unfortunately we have made the decision to leave the vets now as they are just not providing the care or communication that my senior dog needs. I would no longer recommend. Such a shame as the previous staff were all amazing and I thank them for everything they’ve done.

   I have a rescue dog - Bonzo, he is very nervy and scared of anything new. The team at Winton Lodge were amazing with him, so patient, kind and reassuring. They are so caring and took time to build trust with Bonzo dog and also to explain the treatment. Their prices are very reasonable too. Thank you! I would highly recommend them.

   One of our little rats was snuffling when breathing and, having be warned they are susceptible to URIs, we were worried. Having called a few local places, Winton Lodge quickly booked us in the same day as an emergency. The lady I spoke to on reception was fantastic. The vet we saw - Dr Isabella Marshall - was incredibly kind and great with Buddy. I honestly think this is THE best vets around. I would highly recommend them.
