1 star – Avoid this place I stayed here for 3 nights and honestly the whole experience was awful. When I checked out they refused to give me my deposit back unless I paid an extra £7, which was never mentioned anywhere. I contacted Booking.com and they confirmed this isn’t even in their policy, but the hotel still insisted it was “new”. The room itself was dusty and clearly not cleaned properly. There were no toilet rolls or shampoo when I arrived. Throughout the stay, no one checked the room and no staff were available when I needed help. Reception barely answers the phone and when they do, they give attitude like you’re disturbing them. You also never get your full deposit back. They automatically keep £3 for “service” even though they don’t service anything at all, and then find excuses to take extra money on top. This has honestly been the worst hotel experience I’ve had through Booking.com. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. I will not be returning.

AVOID THIS PLACE – BED BUGS & SCAMMERS & RUDE STAFF. I wish I could give ZERO stars. Stayed 12–13 Oct, 2025. Around 1am, I woke up itching—found a BED BUG crawling on the sheets. Absolutely DISGUSTING. Clearly, they don’t clean or change their linens properly. I had to leave in the middle of the night! Tried calling reception—no answer. Sent pics and proof. They replied hours later accusing ME of lying and said the sheets “weren’t theirs.” Total lie! When I went back to show them, they’d already changed the bedding—trying to cover it up. Liars. Then they had the nerve to accuse me of breaking the toilet seat to keep my deposit! Luckily, I had photos/videos from check-in. So they knew they messed up and lied, so they returned my deposit—5 DAYS LATER. Filed a complaint with Trading Standards, as I haven't received my refund for my room back yet. WARNING: They have bed bugs. Take pics/videos of EVERYTHING or they’ll scam you too. NEVER AGAIN.

Apartment C3 located on the ground floor.Absolutely shocking experience.Strong smell of weed through hallway hit me immediately.Apartment itself very poor.Deco awful , wall required painting and furnitures should be replaced as a matter of urgency.Cleanliness questionable, dirty walls with fresh spillage (coffee, vomit sorry not sure what it was) just next to bed, easily retractable with wet cloth by cleaning staff before my arrival.Awful smell of dampness within property. No network (I'm o2/ virgin media customer) within the building at all however 5G available immediately when opening main door to the close. No internet at all despite connected to Sky Apartments WiFi. Basically I could not contact anyone and no one could contact me while at apartment. This trip to Coventry was caused by sudden death of my family member and I had to deal with funeral director and Coroner's office even during out of hours. No one could reach me unless I was out.I had to leave property to make any calls. It was reported immediately to property management and member of staff arrived just to confirm that there is an issue. It is a huge safety issue as I could't even contact emergency services.I was promised by next day to be moved to different property. When calling next day for an update I was speaking to rude girl who simply stated it's my fault I have no connection and WiFi is working as other guests don't have any issues.Again,I was left with no resolution despite they were aware that I wasn't there just to party in town and come back to apartment for a sleep but stayed in apartment for majority of my time.Only one wooden chair available despite apartment is for 2 people.Lack of knives and glasses.lack of toilet paper.Cutlery in the kitchen not enough even for 2 people.Burned iron and compact ironing board unfit for purpose. No bin liner and small office bin provided.Condensation terrible,no vents at all.Running water from windows to the ledge and floor.Noise from other properties very bad.I was able to hear conversation and other TV's. Room cold at night and heat controller locked so guest can't adjust it. Extremely small wardrobe with cheap plastic hangers hardly fitting 2 jackets. No space for clothes i.e t-short, jeans etc. They are proud themself for leaving complimentary tea and coffee. Sorry, but you can keep your 4 cheap tea bags and 4 cheap instant coffee sachets and concentrate on what is matter for your guests. They charge deposit of £100 which is ok however they are asking for bank transfer !? Weird and suspicious why? Then takes days to return deposit and its returned with £3 fee so basically you will receive £97. I strongly advise anyone who decided to stay there to record video before closing door during the checkout as some people complaining of being falsely accused of some damages within the property so this scammers can hold on to deposit. The most rude staff I have ever had to deal with, totally unhelpful.Apartment totally unfit for renting out. Update: so just received replay from the property to my review I have left on the platform where original booking was made and it just showed how bad is the management and prove there is complete lack of professionalism. They accusing me of lying while everything I have pointed out is backed with picture taken. Then they advised me to change my phone for new on ...Sorry guys got latest iPhone so can't get anything better at the moment unless maybe old Nokia would work within your apartments? Not sure ;-).Seen other peoples reviews now and I'm mortified by choosing stay in your apartments. You should start taking action to upgrade your rooms rather than giving sarcastic advice to people that trusted you and booked stay with you. with You are completely disrespetful! There are plenty of better places to stay in Coventry and I hope people would think twice before booking anything with you. I will strongly recommend full training in customer service for all of your staff including management and owner. I have attached picture of your response to my review below.

I recently stayed at sky city apartments for two nights, and I feel it's important to share my honest experience. Unfortunately, the listing was very misleading – the space looked nothing like the photos. It was much smaller than advertised, and overall, the place did not meet expectations. Additionally, we were told we’d be charged extra for fresh towels, which is quite unreasonable for a short stay. The bedding was not changed during our stay, and to make matters worse, we were charged an extra fee for checking out just 10 minutes late – something most hosts would typically handle with more understanding. The overall service was disappointing and felt very unwelcoming. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as the experience did not reflect the standards I’ve come to expect from Airbnb. Best regards, A. Kwaramba

The place was a building site with no separate entry. The room was grubby and the owner rude. I refused to stay here and booked a Premier Inn instead. There are no keys and entry is via bluetooth on an app you must install on a smartphone. They only tell you this once you have paid, and you only get the link at check-in. It added stress, not least putting details onto unknown apps via my own phone's data.

The small room was very well-equipped with a kitchen area with hob, pans and Utensils. The shower room was nice, it's all very small but perfectly adequate. A modern feel with Netflix and smart TV. On the downside, the bed sheets had lots of stains and marks on them which was extremely off-putting. At 7.45am in the morning, we were awoken by very very loud drilling and building works directly outside our ground-floor window. You would have thought we would be warned that the hotel is surrounded by building works and diggers at the time of booking, as it did ruin our morning and we left feeling very tired and dissatisfied.

3 hours before check in, expect to get a text message and email aggressively demanding that you pay £50 into a private bank account (yes this nonsense truly happened). If you don’t pay you won’t be allowed to stay, at 3 hours notice what choice do you have. I can’t believe Hotels.com are happy to sell rooms at this place. The rooms are clean but very poor quality (poor mattress, flooring lifting etc) and the smell of weed throughout the property is unmistakable. Please do not be tempted to book this accommodation!

The place is in a busy location, parking is a little tricky and the deposit is not stated on the website so this is a little unfair at the time. The check-in is not straightforward as they're messaging you with an account of where to pay the deposit and after they receive it they gave you the number and the key for the self-checkout. The room was nice, spacious and have this new fresh air, but the light in the bathroom wasn't working properly, and the dinning table was a bit annoying as it was moving side to side. Overall, the room had a Smart TV with Netflix and TV programmes, the fridge was spacious and the room had a nice colour, and they even provide us with soap and towels. Moreover, the kitchen was fully equipped and they had a radiator which was working properly. Per total I can say that I was happy and that I will return back if needed.

Nice little room. Clean, tidy and very decently decorated. Couldn't find the tv remote to watch the tv and the heating is poor for the room. They do have a little weird of check-in procedure too. Little parking so be careful. Walls are thin so you can hear other people and even the cars passing by.
