   I had a really disappointing experience while trying to rent in Cardiff. I was called and asked to attend a viewing with only an hour’s notice, and was told that if I waited even two days it might already be too late. Because of this pressure, I rearranged my responsibilities to attend the viewing. The agent, Alys, was actually very pleasant and professional, and I have no complaints about her personally. About 30 minutes after the viewing, I was asked to make an offer immediately. As is common in Cardiff, there was no flexibility on the move-in date and everything needed to happen as soon as possible. I liked the flat, so I accepted. I did explain that there were three of us moving in and that one of my flatmates was away for work at the time. I said he would be reachable the following day and that I just needed to confirm with him, which I thought was reasonable given how sudden everything was, and I did not have any objection from the agency's behalf. The next day (again, working day) at around 11am, I received ONE phone call while I was working and couldn’t answer. Half an hour later, I received a text saying the property had been let to someone else. When I later called back, I was told this was the landlord’s decision and that they DID try to call me to inform. If that’s the case, I don’t really understand what the role of the agency is, especially after an offer had already been accepted and my situation had been clearly explained. I was never told there was a strict LESS THAN 24-hour deadline, or warned that missing a single call would mean losing the property. Overall, this was a frustrating experience, especially considering how much pressure was put on me to act quickly, compared to how little time I was given to respond.

   My experience with the letting agency has been really good and Stefan was very helpful getting us set up in our new home. Landlords have been excellent too. Helpful follow up process for any maintenance issues too.

   I am a tenant and I had a really bad maintenance service. I have been without a washing machine for a month now. You have to chase them a lot by email and phone to get stuff sorted.

   I needed to relet a house which I felt had perhaps not previously been managed as I would expect. I was looking for a fully managed service and hoped to find the most suitable tenants. Stefan came to visit the property and was extremely helpful in advising me and then narrowing the interested parties down to the current new tenants. I met the prospective tenants and was grateful for Stefan’s support in this. He addressed all the reservations I had and successful prepared then commenced the new tenancy in a professional but still friendly manner for all parties. At no stage did I feel that this was not handled in an appropriate way and has resulted in content tenants and also relieved myself of the need to manage the contract myself going forward. I am.confident that this approach and outcome will continue to the extent that I shall be using PA for further lettings as this need arises in the near future.

   I am delighted to write this review of Peter Alan in Llanishen, in particular the help and support we received from Stefan Oliver. My daughter was becoming very disheartened with the lack of properties available for a young family. I visited nearly every estate/letting agent in North Cardiff, to be told that our details would be on record and that we would be contacted should something suitable become available - nothing!! However, from the very outset, the staff from Peter Alan, especially Stefan, helped us enormously and we were able to secure a property that suited her needs. Throughout the process, we received assistance and immediate responses to our queries. Should the need arise to search again for a rental property, I would have no hesitation in approaching Peter Alan first.

   I cant even rent an apartment, when I call they barely answer, if they do answer they give me incorrect responses, and they never EVER reply to emails. Before edit ^^ Edit : they called to let me know there is an apartment and we rushed to finished all the paperwork only downside is that we got the contract less than 12 hours before the tenancy started and it had some mistakes. After getting it fixed we signed. Waiting to pickup the keys. So far so good.
