I really dont like giving bad reviews but I had an Absolutely appalling experience with Vets now. I recently contacted them to put my elderly cat to sleep, and they quoted £470. I was shocked and dismayed by the exorbitant cost, especially considering the emotional distress my cat and I were already experiencing. To quote such a high amount, more than triple what I ended up paying the following day for the same procedure during normal hours, is nothing short of heartless. I understand and agree the staff should be paid more out of hours but It's clear that they prioritize profits over compassion and the welfare of animals to charge so much more. For a service that should be about compassion and care, their approach is utterly unacceptable. I urge Vets Now to rethink how they handle the end of life procedures for pets and focus on compassion and mercy for those going through desperate traumatic times, not how much money they can get out of a quick procedure.

I brought my dog in with severe vomiting and bloody diarrhea, clearly in distress. Despite explaining her condition and the recent medication interaction that caused it, the staff took her away without telling me what they were planning to do or what injections they intended to give. They administered a painkiller without my consent, even though it should not have been given due to her condition and ongoing bleeding. As a result, my dog’s health got much worse, and she has now been hospitalized for two days at another clinic. If I hadn’t taken her elsewhere, I honestly don’t know what could have happened. I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of communication, care, and attention at this clinic. Pet owners deserve to be informed and involved in decisions about their animals’ treatment.

Amazing vets practice. All the staff vets, nurses, reception were so kind, considerate and compassionate while I cried. A lot. They saved my cat with a blocked bladder and gave the both of us excellent care throughout. Massively grateful.

The vet was nice and friendly and gave good, thorough, clear advice and information. My dog was operated on quite quickly and I was contacted when they said they would, which was reassuring. My only negative feedback is the cost of treatment, I feel that £360 to walk in and be seen is way too much and £3600 for surgery is shockingly expensive. But you are in their hands and want what’s best for your pet. However, i am grateful for them saving my dog.

Lovely overnight service after major surgery on my 4 year old Rottweiler. Thanks you very much for the great service and helpful information provided by a professional caring vet. Putting mother and puppies well-being first. Thank you thank you thank you.

When I heard the news that my Xinxin had passed away, it was completely distraught, but I was glad to have had the option of a memorial for him and getting his urn which was well package with love was the closure I needed. I will never get to hear him Meow again but I have a part of him with me now. Thank you for helping through this difficult time.

Our 17 year old cat who had been on heart medication for three years, collapsed on the evening of 4th February. We rang Vets Now in Harrow and they saw us straight away. We knew what had to be done and we were treated in such a kind and compassionate way even though they weren’t our regular vets. Our cat was treated with gentleness and everything around him was so calm and caring. I didn’t get the name of the young lady vet we saw but I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her kindness. She was a perfect balance of professionalism and compassion.

My old Greyhound was in a bad way and as it was a Sunday I had no choice but to ring the emergency vet. As Vets Now work out of the surgery we usually go to I decided to go there. When I first rang them they took all my details and told me I would have to pay just over £300 to be seen. I must admit I was disgusted by this fee but I had no choice but to get my boy Alfie there as soon as possible. Once I arrived at the vets I was greeted by a nurse and from that moment on thewy were absolutely amazing, unfortunately Alfie had to be put to sleep but all the staff were so good to both me and Alfie, they made him so comfortable and helped him to pass so peacefully. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the ladies who looked after us but if you are reading this I would like to say thankyou again for everything you did that morning, you guys are the best.

Good experience, excellent care for my cat. Particularly pleased with really thoughtful conversation about what the best thing to do was. Easy to find, and could park outside which eased the stress too. Only slight grumble was the price- of course, I expect out of hours pet care to be expensive but it was really pricey. I have heard since there is another out of hours vet which is cheaper (not fact checked that though!). But for clinical care, really good.

Disgusting rip off , charged over £400 for a consultation where the vet only listened to my dogs heart and gave him an anti sickness jab . Completely missed the big tumour on his left kidney , my poor dog was in agony and the vet did not want to give him pain relief in case it made him drousy. Next day my own vet found the mass on examination and we said goodbye. Never again will I use this service.
