Boots Clapham Common is a pillar of stability in my high-octane life. They consistently have the triumvirate of existence: my specific roll on, my particular body lotion, and the correct flavour of toothpaste. Plus, I can order the essentials online and pick them up with zero fuss, which is the definition of peak human evolution. The staff at the till are consistently delightful, friendly, and efficient. They are truly the best of us. They also, without fail, ask me the one question for which I have no good answer: "Do you have a Boots card?" It is a lovely tradition, like a small, polite toll I must pay to leave with my deodorant. Five stars for convenience, but deduct ten points from my non existent loyalty balance for failing the loyalty test every time.

It is my local Boots but I will be honest and say that I don't find the staff that welcoming and the queues are always very long as if they are short of staff. The store is also always stuffy and I do not like the set up of the store and the pharmacist was ok but prior i went in as I needed a specific medication and they told me they did not have it and later on I went to see they did which is unacceptable. they should put people that know on the till ( it was an older guy who was working there with glasses). The other day i went in and there was a young guy and he tried his best serving me and even though he didn't know he went and ask the pharmacist unlike this man who served me a few weeks ago. It is unacceptable as i needed this medication urgently and it was cheaper at this pharmacy.

I went to the pharmacy yesterday and had a great experience. I was seen quickly, treated nicely and felt like I was taken seriously. Few comments about incorrect opening hours so I took a pic of the door

What has happened to our beloved Boots? disinterested staff 18/20 people queuing and one serving No self check out Boiling hot shop More expensive than supermarkets Hopefully this is just a London thing and the chain isn’t entirely lost nationally

Difficult to find what I was looking for as there appeared two pharmacists and somebody on a till at the front of the shop available. When I finally got to the head of the pharmacists queue the pharmacist was very, very helpful.

It's important for Boots to clearly communicate their policy regarding dogs in the store. I frequently bring my dog into the store and am only asked to carry her. However, today, when I brought my dog in while carrying her, as I always do, the employee at the checkout told me that dogs are not allowed, without any explanation, I felt humiliated and upset.

I went to ask for medication for my sty, but was shocked to find that the lady at the prescription counter only told me that the NHS does not recommend prescribing medication for sty and that I should basically just put a warm cloth over my eyes to heal them... I then went to a nearby pharmacy and was able to get a prescription for an ointment to treat the problem.

Edited from 1 star to 3, as the below experience did happen, however, since then the service has been much quicker and the staff are usually very friendly. The queue to collect a prescription is never shorter than about 4 or 5 people, with a maximum of two pharmacists working. Since moving to Clapham I go without my medication regularly because I simply don't have time to collect it. I need to move pharmacy ASAP but there is very little alternative. More than once when I have queued they've told me that I've collected it already, which hasn't been the case, they must've simply lost it amongst the millions of other prescriptions that they have lying around. By that point they have decided that they won't dispense it, so I have to ask my doctor for another prescription and start the process all over again.
