I have now moved my prescriptions to the chemist across the road. Why: 1) the chemist is filthy, flooring is a liability, is never washed. 2) wait times are extensive- a text arrives to say prescriptions are ready, you arrive are told you have to wait a further 10-20 mins for it to be completed. 3) items within the prescription are not in so you are constantly going back to the chemist for a prescription. 4) misinformation- you are told there is a national shortage for an item. You ring a manufacturer and they say there is no such thing. This seems like profit before patient safety to me. 5) they opt to buy the cheapest version of a drug you need. Consequently the cheap version does not divide equally into quarters this means often I am often over or under medicating. They say they have no control over what they are supplied. I could go on, I have been on medication from 2000 when I was diagnosed with a rare condition. I have frequented many chemists and this is by far the worst.

On release from hospital with a serious condition this writer was in need of a reliable pharmacy. One year later service at this pharmacy has been flawless. I thank the manager (also senior pharmacist), and all her staff, for the excellence of their service. My only complaint is that her conscientious diligence in preparation of medications constrains her attention to customers. This is a pity in that her smile does more for me in two minutes than any clinician's prescription is likely to achieve In a month. But thank you ma'am anyway.

UPDATED 2024 Nothing has changed since last review, booked a flu shot turned up at appointed time and kept waiting for half an hour, when I queried the delay told too busy to see me and to rebook. During my wait I witnessed many customer's having negative experiences with the staff who seemed unwilling or unable to assist them with basic concerns. I uphold my previous statement that this is people pretending to play pharmacies but I am surprised they have been allowed to play for this long! Prior review, 2022 Awful experience trying to get a flu shot (still not had one) made an appointment and went there on the day only to be told the inncoluator was off, no email to tell me it was cancelled so a wasted journey. Called again today to see if okay to pop in only to be told all the staff were out at lunch and to ring back later. This place seems to be people playing pretending pharmacists

Very, very poor customer service and rude staff. Called ahead to check a prescription was ready, was told it would be ready and to arrive by 11am the following day and they close at midday. Turn up just a few minutes before 11, prescription not ready and was told I would have to wait another hour (they also don’t close at 12 midday but 6pm). Advised I called ahead for this reason to be on time. Lady said, ‘sorry but I’m only one person’(?!!) Rude, unhelpful and staff need to realise that a customer will only be pleasant and polite back if the staff are polite and helpful in the first place.

It’s gone way down hill. It used to be a fantastic pharmacy. The new team are like robots; devoid of any social skills or empathy. They never seem to have prescriptions ready, you have to wait atleast 10 minutes to be acknowledged by a member of staff, and they never pick up the phone. The old team of pharmacists and assistants were a credit to the Wells organisation. I will now find another pharmacy.

Useful for shopping, as this store carries a lot of stock and some items are not too badly priced! Most of the staff seem friendly enough. I feel they're stressed due to the high volume of customers! Customers have to remember that they're dealing with many people and have to complete all their orders! GP's sometimes don't send them the correct information too!

The staff are always friendly and helpful, and go the extra mile if there are any problems with prescriptions.

The worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to, they made me cry and were completely unsympathetic, I work with the homeless and vulnerable and they complain about this pharmacy repeatedly. Never have my prescription, once even accused me of picking up a prescription I never picked up. Very judgemental and no empathy why is pretty sad for a pharmacy…

Hard to get through on phone but staff in store helpful, and Meeta is a gem - she went above and beyond to answer a query for me. She’s an asset to the Pharmacy.

Really good service. They text you when your prescription is ready for collection. Only thing that's frustrating is they hardly ever pick up their phone.
