Had a wonderful day at Cotswolds Wildlife Park and Gardens! We booked tickets online and spent over three hours happily exploring. Even though it was sunny and very cold, the experience was magical—so many beautiful animals, birds, and reptiles, set in lovely surroundings. The atmosphere was lively with lots of visitors, yet it still felt peaceful and enjoyable. Truly a memorable day out and well worth a visit!

Cotswolds Wildlife Park and Gardens in Burford is absolutely amazing and a fantastic day out. The park is very clean, extremely well set up and set within beautiful surroundings, which makes walking around a real pleasure. There’s so much space and everything feels well looked after. There are lots of animals to see and plenty to keep both adults and children entertained. Our kids, aged 4 and 1, absolutely loved it and were engaged the whole time. Highlights for us included the owls, monkeys and birds, as well as the penguin feeding, which was brilliant to watch. The goat petting area was a big hit with the children, and seeing the giraffes up close was a real treat. The noisy lions were also a memorable highlight. Overall, it’s a great place for a family day out and somewhere we’d happily visit again. Highly recommended for anyone with young children or anyone who enjoys animals and beautiful outdoor settings.

My overall experience was mixed. While the visit was neither exceptionally good nor particularly bad, it did fall short of my expectations in some areas. The number of animals visible and active during my visit was relatively limited, which affected the overall experience. Additionally, the ticket prices did not feel fully aligned with the value received. The food options were satisfactory, and the pricing for food was reasonable. Among the enclosures, the rhinoceros and giraffe exhibits stood out as the highlights. Both were well-maintained, and the animals were active and engaging. These observations reflect my personal experience, and others may have different perspectives based on their visit.

Really good day out, helped by being very reasonable weather for the time of year. No rain, not too cold, some sunshine. It was busy, being half term, but manageable and well organised. The restaurant was very busy at midday but is was moving quickly and tables being cleaned regularly. Not too long to wait for decent hot food. The animals looked well cared for and their enclosures really well thought out. Definitely more than enough to see in one day. The Rhinos seemed to be part of a successful breeding program. Throughout my childhood there were only 3 then 2 rhinos. Now there seemed to be 7 including some very cute looking young ones. The grounds were particularly impressive considering the time of year. Clearly a lot of effort goes into maintaining it this well. All in all would definitely recommend for a day out.

First visit and can definitely say it won't be the last. What a truly lovely place. The animal enclosures are fabulous, clean and in keeping for each creatures needs. The gardens are stunning considering it is October, there were still some lovely flowers in bloom. Their restaurant was very clean and the carrot cake and coffee a perfect snack between strolling around. The gardens are set out in a way that is interesting to look at whilst walking between enclosures. It was soo clean and tidy. Great place to see some well cared for animals and birds.

Great day out! Lots of animals, and all of them with a good amount of information (not too stuffy, but interesting). The penguin feeding, the Madagascar walk through, and the Birds of Prey demonstration are definitely worth putting on your schedule. The little train that takes you around the park is also a great thing for kids, and is wheelchair accessible. Will definitely be back in slightly cooler weather!

Love this place and have visited for many years. Getting in was a palaver as it took longer to get from Burford roundabout than it did to get the there from Oxford! Some information via social media would have helped. We had no idea why the queue was so long and as we had already purchased tickets we waited. Once in the park you weren't aware of how busy it was unless you wanted food/ drinks /toilet. If you wanted the train you'd be better off later in the day as the queue was insane. Everything was pretty much as I remembered. I didn't quite understand why they had closed off one end of the walk through bird/wallaby /tapir enclosure? It made it a bit of a trek to walk back out again instead of simply adding pads to the exit. Especially as the entry ones had dried out. That was the only disappointing part of the place. Many animals weren't there and the ground around the wallabies was dry and simply mud. Overall its a great value day out. Take a picnic and be prepared to wait a while to actually access the park. It's a great place to visit if you have limited mobility as it pretty flat with good pathways.

We went mid week during the school hols and it was packed, this is not a problem though as the park is huge. I'd recommend taking a picnic as food queues are long during peak times. Its a beautiful day out, the flowers and plants around the park are stunning. The animals appear really well looked after and the little farm park area where children can touch the goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducklings, etc is really cute. There is a little train with stations around the park that you can hop on and off of, it toots and the kids absolutely love it. If you want to wear your kids out, this is the place to go.

Such a nice zoo. Booked online, was straight forward. The lady asked for the code to retrieve tickets. It’s quiet busy but the queue is going quickly. Massive car park! The itself is very clean, plenty of greens and dog friendly! Some places inside do not allow dogs. Perfect for families. Rhinos, giraffes, you name it.. the animals were in good health so I assume that they are taking good care of them! Beautiful getaway. Fascinating creatures!
