Lovely place for a walk, especially if you have a dog. You can't go inside with your dog, but it's great to stretch your legs and for your dog's as well. Bare in mind it is a National Trust place, and it cost us £15 each per adult, and the parking is free.

What a lovely house. When we visited unfortunately there was flooding and souch of the surrounding area was under water, but the efforts of the National Trust to maintain the house despite worse flooding in the area year on year are stupendous. Lots of lovely fallow deer around. The village Church is also worth a visit and so walk around the walks in the park.

It was nice to see one of our favourite National Trust homes all set up for Christmas. Striking red ribbons and bows outside and some beautifully dressed rooms inside had visitors reminiscing about past Christmas times. As always, very friendly guides in the house and delicious cake at the cafe. The grounds were in good condition considering the recent wet weather and are always a delight to walk around, whatever season.

Lovely place for a long walk with different types of deer roaming the estate, sheep, herons, egrets, ducks, pheasants and swans. The views across the countryside and neighbouring villages are beautiful. The house and surroundings buildings are well worth the visit. There are two cafes both experienced recently with slow almost indifferent service but food and drink were good.

Beautiful open spaces, with deer, the River Avon, and the first buds of Spring. The house is limited to the ground floor but talking to the guides brings it to life. The Orangery serves good food in a pleasant setting. Easy to get to and worth two or three hours.

Beautiful 17 century Tudor and Victorian style house. Better to reserve tickets online before you visit. Free car Parking at spot available. Property has two cafes and fe benches beside water stream. If you fancy a picnic its a good spot.

National Trust owned so admission fee applies, plenty of parking. The Hall has five lower rooms to view. The main building is going through extensive renovation at the moment. Gardens well kept, outer buildings housing several 19century coaches, kitchen areas able to view. Gift shop, tea rooms, second hand bookshop, toilets available. Able to walk in surrounding countryside with deer prominent, must keep to paths and dogs not allowed in the deer park, otherwise plenty of other paths to walk on to explore. Good day

One of the best NT sites we've been to. We visited at Easter and there was a treasure hunt for children which was really thoughtfully planned out and not too strenuous for little legs! We saw the deer and lots of wildlife by the lake too. You can see a lot in a short distance if mobility is an issue or you have small children, but there are some longer walks as well and it didn't feel crowded even though there were lots of cars in the car park.

Lovely house and grounds. As expected of a nation trust property. Very well kept. Unfortunately upon my visit the house was closed for maintenance yet spectacular grounds were open. Parking is ample. If you have small children or bicycles you do have to cross a road from the car park to the grounds so do be careful.
