Much better now the car park is monitored. The pharmacists have got a lot slower at dispensing prescriptions than they used to be. Great to have this local service
One star is being generous. Had a flu jab on Weds. Pharmacist obvs doesn't usually do this as was clueless. He had a hacking cough which didn't encourage me to sit in a small consultation room with him. There was also a debate as to which flu vaccine I could have then to top it off his skills at administering an injection were dire as this is the first time a flu jab has hurt like hell - he needs more practice!!!
I have ben using this pharmacy for my repeat prescriptions for over 25 years and I must say they do what they are supposed to do. The staff changes a lot so there is no sense of ownership and you cannot create any type of reports as you never meet the same person. But I do not use the chemist for friendship so they do their job well. They are reliable, if they say they call as a medicine is not available, they will. It is a mall shop so you cannot find all you can find in a larger Boots but as a local chemist it is ok. Good car park available. A note: please fix your door as it is soooo hard I need to build muscles to open it!
Maybe counter staff are new, or they just need training, She had no idea where stock was I asked for 2 options, she had to go ask and then come back and still didnt know then she said well we dont have it, so I asked what about the other shes says "oh yh". Didnt ask any wwham questions, what if I was allergic or was on some medication? Maybe re training is needed.
If this pharmacy was not next door to a doctor's surgery it would go out of business. Just gone in to collect a prescription , 1 man waiting with 1 girl serving him. All other staff round the back having a good ol chat. A blonde haired female comes out to assist the only girl serving, then returns behind the wall, to her chat, eve though she can see me waiting. Eventually 4 more people come into the shop and the blonde female staff member eventually re-appears saying"Is anybody waiting". Seriously ??? What did she think we were all doing there - arranging a Line Dancing Class ???? The stupidity then increases. After asking for my details for my prescription she tries to give me someone elses medication!!!! Then I am told they do not have my prescription, its not even showing on their computer as being in their system at all, even though my GP sent it the previous evening, and its now gone 2pm the following day. I return home, ring my GP who confirms it HAS been sent, so rather than waste my energy returning to this place, I ring them - only to be told, miracuously, that my prescription has JUST this minute shown up if I'd like to come back for it! The staff here need to be replaced with staff who are qualified sales people and/or pharmacy dispensers because currently they appear to be neither, and this is not a place I have any faith in now. I will get my GP to send my prescriptions elsewhere to avoid some empty-headed idiot trying to give me medication for another customer, and wasting my time and energy when I'm ill. Could not be less impressed.
Saturday close for dinner 13.till 14.00 6 staff and they all go at the same time not bother about the customers one Saturday the pharmacy didn’t turn up so they had to close all day very poorly run chemists different staff every month
Extremely Unprofessional ! SHOCKING SERVICE... CAN'T BELIEVE THIS CHEMIST IS PART of the BOOTS CHAIN... Everytime I go into BOOTS Braunstone Lane to collect my prescriptions the STAFF are PARTAKING in SOCIAL GOSSIP about their very important lives.... with NO CARE towards keeping the customers/UNWELL PATIENT'S waiting for their prescriptions. Work at SNAIL PACE ! Now changing my chemist. Boots have lost a customer as I shall never go in there ever again!
Absolutely amazing staff here. So helpful, so friendly and warm, go above and beyond to help sort all my medication needs. Would be lost without the whole team here.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Good selection of off the counter medicines. They also offer a repeat prescriptions service and notify you by text when your prescription is ready for collection. Unfortunately they don't offer a delivery service.
