   Best Friends are absolutely wonderful Vets. Having just moved to the area I booked a first visit yesterday with my grumpy elderly dog.Excellent, helpful, kind service from my first phone call to attending and meeting the receptionist and then the wonderful lady vet who was so compassionate, knowledgeable and reassuring! I cannot recommend this veterinary surgery enough! Definitely 5 stars!!!!!

   Receptionists are friendly and helpful. Parking is quite good. I have only seen two vets and they are lovely. Very kind to my dog and professional. They explain everything to me about my dog, so my understanding of his ongoing problems.

   An Outstanding Veterinary Practice – Truly Deserving of the Name ‘Best Friends’ Having lived in Brentwood for 30 years, I can confidently say that Best Friends Vets are the finest veterinary practice I’ve ever encountered. Their genuine love for animals is evident in every interaction, and they bring warmth and compassion to a field that can often feel clinical or judgemental. Unlike some other practices, they never make you feel embarrassed or lectured if your pet’s vaccinations are overdue or if life has simply got in the way. Their approach is refreshingly understanding, focusing on solutions rather than criticism. The staff are consistently polite, informative, and incredibly helpful. Their professionalism is matched by a sincere desire to provide the best care possible—not only for the animals, but for the people who love them. I only wish they had been in Brentwood decades ago. I won’t be taking my pets anywhere else.

   Used this vet for my dog in an emergency (normally use a different branch). Got an appointment for 50 minutes after I called.The receptionist/nurse was so lovely on our arrival. The vet was great too. Really thorough and put both me and my dog at ease. Thank you so much.

   We've been with Shenfield vets for around a year now and they have always been helpful and compassionate with the problems our dog has. Never feel rushed and, given the costs of obtaining the ongoing medication our dog needs, they offered to give us a private prescription so that we can buy the meds on the internet for half the cost. Definitely recommend this practice, one of the best I've ever belonged to.

   What a fantastic service l received today when l had to bring my gorgeous Romanian rescue dog George in for treatment. He had a dew claw on his back leg that had grown round into a circle and had gone back in the same hole...l was asked to bring him in as soon as l could as he was in pain. The nurses were so kind and patient and very calm which made George feel secure and safe...he did not appear to feel a thing and when it was all over he was made a great fuss of by everyone including the lovely reception staff too. They were very kind to me as they could see l was upset for George. I cannot thank you enough.
