   Extract from a letter sent to Birk & Nagra’s Superintendent Pharmacist regarding the Heathcote Road branch: 14th April A repeat prescription put through to the pharmacy by my GP. 17th I dropped off a prescription from my dentist explaining I would pick up both this and my repeat prescription on the 19th, allowing for Birk & Nagra’s insistence on a five day lead time for repeat prescriptions. 19th Only the dental prescription was ready for collection. I explained I was out of blood pressure tablets. I returned just before closing to collect the repeat prescription to be informed the inhaler was out of stock and would be ready on the 21st. A second prescription was put through by my GP. 24th I phoned to check the inhaler was ready for collection and that the second prescription from my GP had been received. I was told both would be ready on the 25th. 26th On arriving at the pharmacy I was told neither was ready. ——————— Whilst I did not receive any response following the letter, the prescription was finally dispensed on the 30th. To require 5 days to prepare a repeat prescription I find ridiculous. To not be able to fulfill a repeat prescription after 5 days is unacceptable. Having to halve the prescribed dosage because a pharmacy has not dispensed a repeat prescription after two weeks is far from ideal! Needless to say, I will no longer use Birk and Nagra.

   The staff here are always helpful and very kind and as we have not been able to leave home, their delivery of my wife`s and my medication that they have arranged to be delivered is invaluable to us, they are very efficient and I don't know what we would have done without them. I know sometimes that they are very busy, but the important thing to note is that they always find time for you and put your mind at rest in the store or on the phone.
