   Fabulous customer service. Going on my first 100km trek and raft….and in Colombia for charity. He kindly gave a discount for the trekkers that are going too in support for all the charities.    Abby was fantastic today supporting our search for backpacks for multi-day hikes. As a huge Deuter fan, i was so pleased to see Outdoor and Active stocked their backpacks, and specifically the Futura back system i know and love. She was great at fitting the backpack, discussing pros, cons and durability of the ones we had been looking into and ultimately I walked away with a new Futura 50+10 that I am incredibly happy with. Knowing they can order stock in if you haven’t been able to find it elsewhere is another huge bonus. Thank you team!!

   I bought a pair of walking poles. Upon first use I got in a real muddle with how to put the poles together from the folded position. In my ignorance I actually damaged the poles. I cannot thank staff enough at the store for their patience and understanding. They did not make me feel stupid and spent a long time working out how to get the poles back in to working order. So kind. Thank you SO much.

   Called in today, and was very impressed with their shop, they had a wide range of outdoor stuff, well presented, and very full. The lady that served me ( hat bands for a bush hat ) was polite, friendly, and nothing was too much trouble, for her. All round a great place to shop offering a very wide range of goods,.. well worth a visit !

   Extremely friendly place to shop! Obviously the Covid situation was being taken seriously here, I was heartened by the "filter system", only a few folks in at a time.. Had a good browse around at the wide range of outdoor kit, coming out with exactly what I needed, a new pair of socks.. I was in the market for a new camping tarp too, of a particular size, next time maybe..... I appreciated the knowledgeable friendly chat, I got the impression that the staff engage with the Big Outdoors too, which is helpful in many ways, swapping a few anacdotes about my trip on part of Route 66 in America.. Worthy of your time, as a novice or experienced outdoorsy type, a good shop..!
