Brookfield House, part of the University of Leicester School of Business, has been recently refurbished (in the last few years) and it really shows. I visited as part of the GreenerFuture Leicestershire project, and the space perfectly reflected the goals of the programme: forward-thinking, inclusive, and sustainability-led. It’s refreshing to see a university facility that actually lives its values—everything from the design to the atmosphere supports open, meaningful conversations around climate and innovation. Staff were welcoming, the layout works well for professional events, and it’s clear Brookfield is becoming a bit of a hub for sustainability and business in the region. Well worth a visit if you're involved in net zero work, local enterprise, or just want to see how modern refurbishment can respect heritage while pushing toward a greener future.
