My child is about to move on from this school and Sendias told me the best way to make people aware of my issues is to fill in parent view and review online. So here goes. My son has SEN and an EHCP. This is a legal document which is filled with information from various professionals on how to help my son overcome his barriers and make progress towards his outcomes, which are him having a full, healthy and happy school life. St Augstines did not follow the advice of this document, they did not implement large areas of his provision. School tell me they didnt get enough funding from the council, the council tell me the school could have applied for more if needed but didnt. I'm at a loss for what actually happened but I do know for certain that my son is broken after his time here. He had advice and extra funding that I spent months applying for that should have helped him, it was to enable the school too. I feel so much hurt and disappointment towards St Augstines, obviously my son feels worse. If you have a child with additional needs or SEN, avoid. I have so many memories of incidents that my child has had to endure here, where he recieved punishments for his difficulties. Its honestly heartbreaking as a parent to watch. I have 2 other children with other needs and they are happy and thriving in their schools, so I know it's possible if the school is willing.
