   Leicester Shootfighters is a really friendly and welcoming gym, especially so for beginners. The coaches take their time to explain techniques clearly and make sure you understand what you’re doing before moving on. The atmosphere is supportive, not intimidating, and everyone from coaches to members make you feel comfortable straight away. Great place to start if you’re new and want solid guidance without feeling rushed.

   The first thing that struck me was how welcoming and professional all the staff are. You're made to feel at home right away and the members do the same also - it's a nice vibe. It's also a really lovely space to train in that's well looked after and clean! I was looking for somewhere to train where I felt welcome as a girl attending a mixed class... Shootfighters is really inclusive and there's a good number of girls attending the classes so I don't feel out of place. So so happy I found this space! Thank you to all the team :)

   I’ve been training at Leicester Shootfighters for three months now and I’m absolutely loving it. There is a great atmosphere here and an amazing learning environment, the level of instruction and coaching is second to none with the coaches taking the time to assist every single student throughout the lessons. Great facilities too. Five stars all round, my only frustration is I can’t get there more often.

   I’ve been training at Leicester Shootfighters for about 7 months now as a white belt, and it’s honestly the best place I could have started. The coaches are great at breaking things down and making the classes super beginner friendly, which really helped me feel comfortable straight away. The advanced classes are just as good too – the coaching is always clear and you can tell they really care about helping everyone improve, no matter what level you’re at. The atmosphere in the gym is welcoming and supportive, so it’s easy to enjoy training while still being pushed to get better. I’ve made way more progress in these 7 months than I thought I would, and that’s all down to the coaches and training partners here. Can’t recommend Leicester Shootfighters enough if you’re thinking about starting or looking for somewhere to train.

   If you are after BJJ in the East Midlands area then you definitely need to check out Shootfighters. I've been going along for a few months and I cannot fault the quality of the coaching. The coaches are very knowledgeable and approachable and there is just a generally great vibe to the place. Get yourself down there I guarantee you won't be disappointed

   I've never been to an MMA/Boxing gym before, nor have I ever trained in any of the disciplines being offered here at shootfighters. I have only attended the Open day session and a few sessions after that and have been really happy with the overall experience. The open day in particular was surprising as it was very much hands on and certainly no taster session. The people all seem very nice. The instructors that I've met so far, Nathan (Thai Boxing), Karl (Wrestling and BJJ) and David (Thai Boxing) have explained things well and been supportive of me and my training partner as a complete newbie. Price seems very reasonable, the gym is a decent size and is clean. I have signed up now and hope to make some significant progress in the different disciplines being offered.
