   Joining the UYA family was the best decision I ever made! I have learned so much from both Kieran and Katie and the projects I had the opportunity to get involved in were incredible. I have, honestly, made lifelong friends through Urban and I would encourage anyone thinking about joining to go ahead and sign up to the sessions as you will enjoy every second of it.    Being at Urban was the best choice I’ve ever made. It helped me with my confidence and acting skills so much. I have done so much like acting on stage, acting on screen and voice acting. It has opened up opportunities for me that I didn’t think was possible. I’ve made some really good friends and everyone in the groups are friendly and supportive. Kieran and Katie are great people and really good at teaching, they make every session fun and you always learn something. I would recommend UYA to anyone with a passion for acting.

   Urban Young Actors is a wonderful place, I have joined over a year ago and in this period of time my acting skills have improved immensely. Besides that I have made friends for life and truly discovered what I want to be in life while enjoying myself in the process. I would recommend UYA to anyone who is interested in the performing arts industry, it helped me get into one of the best drama schools in the world and it also got me my first paid acting jobs. ❤️

   Urban Young Actors was originally just something i wanted join to express my passion for acting, But what i didn’t expect was to be welcomed as soon as i stepped into the room and become part of this huge family of young actors which are now some of my closest friends. Keiran and Katie are great at teaching and improving your skills, each session is filled with fun but also new information and techniques that improve your acting ability. On top of this, there are also some great opportunities to do things i never would have done if i hadn’t joined such as learning stage combat, or experiencing being in a real on-set environment during a short film. As i am heading into university, i know that Urban Young Actors not only taught me some great acting skills, but also made me much more confident as a person.

   I've been at Urban Young Actors for about five years now and it's honestly one of the best experiences of my life. The tutors, Kieran and Katie, are both excellent teachers and lovely, caring people, and the community in the group is fantastic. Urban Young Actors is one of the most supportive communities I've ever been in and I will forever cherish the memories I've made with them. Additionally, there are lots of great opportunities Urban members have access to, including the opportunity to work with professionals in the theatre and filming industry, which have been very helpful to me and to other people within the group. Notably, as well, many former Urban members have gone on to become professional workers in the theatre and film industry. All in all, I highly recommend Urban to any aspiring young actors who may have some anxieties about where to start, as well as to any young people who have an interest in acting in general!

   I was a member at Urban Young Actors for 9 years and I couldn’t have asked for a better company to train at. I originally joined Urban as a hobby but it quickly grew into something I could see a future in. The teaching is second to none. The projects you get to be involved in at Urban are amazing, I got the chance to perform on stage and create films as well as audition for outside projects. The opportunities don’t stop with the acting with the chance to learn skills behind the camera and backstage. Although acting isn’t a job I went into as I grew up, Urban certainly shaped me into the person I am today. It gave me the confidence to push myself and to grow. Friendships were made for life and Urban Young Actors will always hold a special place in my heart. I couldn’t recommend this company high enough.

The tutors are incredible, and being in such a fun, nurturing environment helped build my confidence as an actor and moreover as a person.    Workshopping and performing at Urban has increased my confidence and depth as an actor, a performance-maker and as a person. Our sessions provided me with a real buzz and sense of belonging, and I could not imagine growing up without the refuge and freedom to play provided by Urban in my life. I have not only met collaborators who I continue to make work with there, but I have also made lifelong close friends. The Urban Tutors’ warm enthusiasm and passion is infectious, from being the ones who made me fall in love with all things performance, to years later still feeling the support from the Urban network - who continue to offer advice and support and forward on opportunities.
