   Wouldn't bother attending this college or any Coleg Gwent campus. I went there for a foundation degree from 2017-2019. During my course my father passed, I notified them of this and had absolutely no support whatsoever during the course of my academic studies. I returned in 2025 and went with a fresh perspective, maybe I was just a young, angry teenager. I came back to do a plastering course and again, same old Coleg Gwent. No due care or attention to its students. They say those who cant do, teach. Well tell me why a bricklayer is running a plastering course? Laughable. Emailed to complain, to get a standardised “we followed our guidelines, procedures” blah blah blah email. If you want a decent education, look elsewhere. If you want to waste time and doss around, this place is right up your street.

   Does anyone even work in the Nash College offices? I have been calling numerous times (at different hours) and having to end up leaving voice messages which are never returned! this is the 3rd time in 7 days!

   Well I'm writing this review after 4 long years in the college. I started off with the Level 2 NVQ in ICT Users and Systems Support. I passed that qualification with flying colours, alongside the Level 2 NVQ I managed to bag a B in GCSE English Language. Now onto the second and third years. I progressed to the BTEC Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Computing, I passed the first year of Level 3. I then moved onto the Extended Diploma which I unfortunately came up short on. However I did manage to bag myself the Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Skills challenge, granting me enough UCAS points to progress onto the Foundation Degree in Computing. The fourth year as mentioned above I progressed onto the HND in Computing, it was franchised by USW. I really did struggle at this point, I lacked motivation for the course and didn't see the point in continuing to struggle so I dropped out. However I was able to continue my GCSE Mathematics leading to a C grade at the end of it. The college environment was good during my 4 years and I never really felt in danger. My classmates were friendly at every stage and so were the tutors. I'd reccomend Coleg Gwent to anyone wanting to re-insert themselves into academia, I'm glad I did. Joshua Thompson.

   A busy campus between Newport City Centre and the Wetlands and Bristol channel. Offers a wide range of courses and some excellent facilities to train in hair and beauty, motor vehicle, engineering and a range of other practical and academic subjects. The campus boasts the largest library in Coleg Gwent, a wonderfully airy space with some nice sunset views at the right time of year. Check out open events and evenings if you want to meet the staff and take a tour, you're bound to find a course to suit you.

   This college has been amazing for me in getting back into Art been here twice to finish getting my qualifications for Cardiff Met & then had an unconditional offer studying Advertising based on my course work and results from college. Charmaine Turner deserves a massive thank you for helping me so much with everything, totally amazing person and a great teacher
