Dropped in to Rob Taylor's Academy whilst visiting Cardiff for the day. Such a friendly and welcoming place to train. Rob, his team and the members all really made me feel welcome. Would recommend to anybody looking to join or if your are visiting Cardiff. I will be back.
My son has been training in Rob Taylor’s academy for a few years now. The coaches Rob & Tom are so welcoming from the first time you step through the door- my son is quite shy and was really nervous when he first started, but Rob & Tom have a great way of coaching the children- they are very calm, patient and supportive. The prices are very reasonable and affordable for the amount of class times and days that are available for training with them. My son’s confidence has grown so much during his time training here, he’s also learnt discipline and skills for life- and has met lots of friends there. I couldn’t recommend Rob Taylor’s academy enough.
I have been lucky enough to train BJJ at gyms around the world, but never find better than Robs, clear, experienced, encouraging instruction. My 4 year old loves his kids class. A great new gym as well.

I've been training with Rob at Rob Taylor BJJ for over 4 years, and have found it excellent. As a multiple black belt British Champion you learn techniques from Rob that have been proven to work against the highest quality opponents. He's also very friendly and is great with the kids (my son trains here too).
Rob is a great teacher and a lovely guy, very knowledgeable and talented at all things BJJ and someone I would call a friend. He has great coaches under him in Ken and Tom and the club is full of awesome, friendly people. Joining changed a lot in my life for the better plus I made lots of new friends too. I've seen the kids classes and they are great. As someone with 17 years of in experience education, from primary school all the way up to secondary, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the club to anyone looking for a place for their kids to train and build their self confidence.
Starting anything new can be daunting for many let alone learning Martial Arts, self defence or Combat sports, but Rob and his Coaching Team are absolutely quality, A personable and patient informative Coaching Team, the Academy is set up for EVERYONE of different size, age and any ability! never have I felt so welcome from the Team to our members. A cracking environment to meet new people while improving your health, your mental well-being, improve your confidence as well as learning something that can genuinely help protect yourself, with everyone trying to be better than we were yesterday. Can’t speak highly enough of Rob and Team. A* from me. Highly recommended.
