CKMA – More Than Just a Karate Club!! I’ve been training at CKMA since September 2016 and I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, for myself and my children. CKMA isn’t just a place to learn martial arts—it’s a welcoming, family-friendly community that has helped us grow both physically and mentally. The style we train in is Tang Soo Do, a traditional Korean martial art that emphasises discipline, respect, and precise technique. From day one, we felt supported and encouraged. It’s been an incredible journey of progression for all of us , my children ( now 15 and 13) and I ( over 40!) have had to take time out along the way but have come back each time fully supported with encouragement to keep pushing and progressing . What truly makes CKMA stand out is our amazing instructor, Master Zoe Rossborough, her dedication, patience, and passion for teaching is truly inspiring. Equally all of the black belts from the club here and elsewhere are always on hand to encourage every student to improve, whether they are a complete beginner or working toward black belt. They push us to be our best, while always maintaining a positive and respectful environment. The classes are well-structured, challenging, and fun! We have had many opportunities to learn from fellow taekwondo members, participate in seminars and tournaments pre covid, dedicated zoom classes through covid ( a lifeline for most of us )the opportunity to learn from inspirational martial artists ( Chloe Bruce!) and grand Master Giacobbe . We truly are lucky to have a master who organises all of this for our club! Whether you’re a child, teen, or adult, there’s something here for everyone. It’s a fantastic place to build confidence, fitness, and focus. I’ve learnt so much about myself along the way. If you’re looking for high-quality martial arts training in a supportive, family-oriented setting, I can’t recommend CKMA enough!

Myself and my wife have been learning Tang Soo Do under the guidance of Master Rossborough for nearly 5 years and it has been the best decision I have ever made, learning skills I thought were beyond me, giving me much needed confidence while being nurtured under a very dedicated Master. There is a massive family ethos where everyone is willing to help, advise and give advice on how to be a better version of who you are. The discipline instilled is tangible and the younger members of the club are an absolute credit and reflection of the high principles and morale code that Master Rossborough carries herself. Is it easy, no if it was it wouldn't be worth doing...is it rewarding, yes!! my only regret is I never knew about the club earlier.
