Good school, as a student I felt supported and understood. Made a move from twycross and couldn't have been happier
If you’re considering a private school education please don't waste your money here! Twycross House is very nearby and a million times better. If Twycross is full then look at Market Bosworth secondary school instead- you will not get any added value/better teaching etc at The Dixie Grammar school. They will sell you ‘The Dixie’ story but they most certainly won’t deliver what they sell. Poor pastoral care, poor teaching, dreadful leadership, dated facilities, poor communication on every level, inadequate special needs provision, inexperienced staff (they like to recruit newly qualified teachers in particular ex pupils). They are unable to deal with bullying as they should, they are happy to introduce new subjects to tempt older children to stay for sixth form but then don’t provide the teaching needed to get them through their a levels, basically the head will lie and tell you what you want to hear but then not deliver what is promised. Don’t waste your money or your child’s education here! (Speaking from experience as a parent who has had more than 1 child attend this school).
Incredible school with loving atmosphere. My son loves and enjoys every day at this school.
The pastoral care at Dixie is appalling. Issues are not dealt with accordingly. Nothing is took seriously and bullying has no consequences. Pettier situations are more important than mental health and well-being of students. The school is very unorganised and unprofessional and the teachers are very lazy. They have good facilities but students have minor access to them which makes it useless. Do not recommend this school! It is not what you expect and what you are told about it.
