I’ve used Tigo twice to drop and picked up from Heathrow, and to be honest the price is great for mini bus, and the drivers always on time . Great service highly recommended.

This is not a review on the taxi/drive service itself as unfortunately I didn’t get to experience that - this is a review about their booking service and communication. I searched for a reputable taxi company based in Leicestershire and Tigo Taxis Leicester came up and had good reviews so I decided to book. On 14th August, I booked a taxi using their app for a pick up service 9 days later on 23rd August at 10pm to drop off at my home address. I knew I would have no signal at the event I was attending which is why I didn’t rely on an Uber and made sure to prebook. I received a booking confirmation after I entered my card details to pay for the taxi and the estimated fare for the taxi was held in my bank. I attended the event yesterday and received 2 phone calls from “No Caller ID” at approximately 2pm. I tried to answer them but my signal was so poor I couldn’t hear the caller nor could they hear me. I did not assume it would be about my accepted taxi service that I had booked 9 days prior. In a short period of signal, and thank goodness, I then receive a text message at just after 8pm telling me, and I quote “DEAR CUSTOMER WE BEING TRYING TO CALL YOU SINCE MORNING BUT YOUR NUMBER IS NOT GOING THROUGH SO WE JUST WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT WE WOULDNT BE ABLE TO DO YOU”. With less than 2 hours to go til my pick up, I am panicking. I then use my friends mobile to telephone the Tigo number from the website (the number that they text message came from did not work) only to be told that they had never received my booking in the first place! After saying well I have a confirmation and you have held the money in my bank, the man said he would need to speak to his manager and phone me back. Meanwhile, I am incredibly stressed because I have dependants I need to get home to and I’m now stuck in a festival field with more or less zero signal and no way home. I used my friends telephone again to book myself an Uber home which arrived promptly and took me to my home address. Whilst I was in the Uber I received 2 telephone calls from Tigo. One telling me that the journey was too far for them so that’s why they weren’t coming. I asked why they accepted the booking and money in the first place but he said something about them being in Solihull (despite the company being Tigo Taxis Leicester and according to Google is based in Leicestershire?) and that they tried to call me earlier that day to let me know. Still not good enough, this is why people prebook, I demand my money back as they cancelled my ride. The app notifies me that the ride has been cancelled by Tigo… excellent, I can forget about the whole horrid ordeal... Until I get another phone call from them telling me I need to cancel the ride on the app to get my money back. The whole experience has been totally off putting and I was left high and dry yesterday by Tigo. Even attempting to let me know of a cancellation 8 hours before is not acceptable, because I could not get that message hence why I prebooked so far in advance with no indication there was an issue. There needs to be a process where you review bookings earlier than the day of, because people are reliant on these services and I was left in an extremely vulnerable and upsetting situation. Absolutely will never use this company again.

Ended up leaving a valuable water bottle inside the taxi. Driver told me he'd left it in the office. Office disposed of it despite calling in to confirm collection earlier. Operator on the phone promised me reimbursement, still haven't upheld their promise weeks after supplying bank details. Very dissatisfied with the customer service.
