When a solictior claims to have "30 years of experience" and states "I can't be sure" "I do not know" & "I cannot tell" over email and is asking you. "What do you want me to do?" like they do not know the process of investigation themselves. Or are they prepared to contact the correct authority for auditing and even placing a caveat, given clear friction in someone not doing what they are expetced to do out of legal responsibility, by that point you should know you're being messed about with and fleeced and the staff of the firm simply can't be bothered but will take your money all the same.
Jo and Christie have been absolutely fantastic! Their timely communication and dedication to getting tasks completed were truly impressive. Excellent! I’ve used Penmans solicitors a number of times in recent years and have found them to be extremely knowledgable and professional. As an experienced buyer & seller of properties, dealing with this incompetent firm was far & away the worst I've come across. Lost documents, nearly jeopardised our purchase. More than happy to take your money however, at that they excel!
We recently used Philip Jones for the sale of one property and the purchase of two, none of these transactions were particularly straightforward but Philip worked through every hurdle for us and we got there eventually. Email responses were extremely prompt and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend Philip to any of my friends and family.
If you're a private paying client avoid giving your money to this business on all fronts. A shoddy service on both court hearing dates. Also some charges are not justified rather just charged as thats what they would get away with when claiming on behalf of someone whos eligible for legal aid. Happy to discuss with anyone.
