   I was very nervous when I had my surgery at the Huddersfield hospital on 14/12/25. I was reassured and put at ease by all of the staff. I wish to thank all of the ward staff, particularly, nurses Sarah and Lauren, and health care assistant Jodie, who all took the time to take excellent care of me. Amazing team. They were all fantastic, very professional and lovely. Also, thank you to Mr Adair and all of the theatre team, who also all reassured me and looked after me very well. Also, thank you to catering for my lovely food afterwards. I had a lovely private room, very clean. I was waiting for my surgery in the local NHS hospital, and am still waiting.... I can't recommend the Huddersfield hospital enough, everything ran very smoothly from start to finish. Great hospital and staff.

   Today I was pleasantly greeted and guided to where I needed to be and then seen by 2 different people. All staff were really friendly and helpful. Particularly Cherrie (HCA) who really helped me feel at ease with a welcoming smile and created a calm environment. She was really informative and answered any questions I had and her caring bed side manner was second to none. Also Kirsty (Nurse) who again greeted me with a warm and friendly smile. They are both a credit to their service and excellent ambassadors for their workplace. Such a lovely environment and the staff really promote a chilled out friendly vibe. Thanks

   I recently had knee surgery at this hospital, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. Every member of the team was professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to my recovery. From the first day, I felt supported and well looked after. I would especially like to mention Liam, my physiotherapist. His expertise, patience, and encouragement made a huge difference throughout my rehabilitation. He explained every step clearly, adjusted the exercises to my needs, and motivated me when things felt difficult. Thanks to his guidance, I made steady progress and felt confident at every stage of my recovery. I truly appreciate the outstanding care I received here and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of surgery or rehabilitation.

   I went in for Laparoscopy surgery which went well. However, one of the nurses used excessive force on my hand/ wrist during the fitting of my canula, causing pain, bruising and swelling after repeatedly beating my hand. I attended A&E Huddersfield on advisement from 111 as I need an x-ray due to swelling, pain and colour change in my wrist/ hand. My x-ray showed bruised tendents in my left hand/ wrist requiring a brace to protect my hand. Putting my trust in a nurse to care and support me during my surgery, I did not expect to come out with an injury making my recovery more difficult than it should be. This should not have happened.

   Absolutely fantastic experience with Dr hunt who preformed acl reconstruction on my right knee. Very detailed explanation of what was going to happen and why, key hole surgery was performed, I have a nice neat scar which has healed perfect. All the staff were amazing start to finish and still are when I attend for physio. Clean friendly welcoming hospital and staff. Food is lovely which is an added bonus if your staying over meal times. 8 weeks post op and I’m finally feel like I’m getting back to myself in terms of walking ect.

   Excellent service from all concerned. I can only recommend this place for knee surgery and subsequent physio. I’m now on week 10 following a total knee replacement and am beginning to walk significantly better. Well done and many thanks to the entire team.

   Started well. I was referred to see a gynaecologist who gave me three months worth of medication and sent me for an ultrasound, which I had within two weeks. The staff I saw were lovely. I was unable to get a follow up for 7 weeks but I wasn’t too worried about that, and received a letter from the consultant confirming the appointment and the results of my scan (9cm fibroid) to be discussed at said appointment. The working day before the appointment I had a call to say a Dr I’ve never heard of was off sick and the appointment was therefore cancelled. When I queried this - as the consultant name was wrong - the lady simply stated “well that’s who it’s with and it’s cancelled anyway, we’ll be in touch” before hanging up. I’ve heard nothing since, and that was a month ago! Thankfully my GP was able to extend the prescription but after a month I’ve no idea what happens next or why the appointment was amended to another doctor in the first place. It’s now 3 months since the scan. To summarise I’d say the actual medical staff are fine but the admin staff are useless (and rude!)

   I was so well looked after the team during a day surgery. From my amazing consultant, the anaesthetist to all of the incredible nurses and catering team. They didn't just tick the boxes (exceptionally!), they were great company and made me feel so welcome and didn't rush me out the door after my surgery - I stayed until I felt ready to go home. They followed up with a call to check-in and also my follow-up appt without any prompt to do so. Thank you all so much!
